I went to this place hearing from a lot many people that its a great place to eat. First of all, these guys have to simplify the menu as I dont think anybody other than the Mexicans can understand what the dishes literally mean. But thats fine, the place is super expensive because its just a casual dining place. The nachos here are around 20 dollars. We finally ordered the enchiladas. We got 2 wraps of enchiladas and some potato mash on one side and rice on the others. The best thing in this dish was the mash. The enchiladas wrap was soaked in some kind of sauce I guess but was very unpleasant to eat. Wouldnt recommend this place. Might give it another go and change my review though. (1.5/5)

During our short trip to Banff, we had the delicious mexican food at Magpie & Stump.Order: Chicken Con Mole Enchiladas: Slowly roasted chicken, diced onions, peanut cilantro, pico de gallo rolled in corn totilla served with rice and cilantro crema was something i never tried. We actually thoroughly enjoyed the dish.Chicken El corno Quesadilla: Being chicken lovers we had another mexican dish with pulled chicken and corn salsa. Rating:Taste: 4.5/5 (Taste was great and would love to have this again)Ambience: 4/5 (loved the complete rustic look and wooden setup. Also there is a nar inside)Staff: 4.5/5 (Although the restaurant was jam-packed but we were greeted and treated in a friendly manner)Value for money: 5/5 (Portion of each dish was perfect as per the price)Waiting time: 3.5/5 (Due to the crowd, they were unable to serve the food fast)
