We went to Melissa’s on the recommendation of our hotel who assured us it was one of the original institutions in town. The decor is very warm and rustic and the views of the street outside is nice. The food was unfortunately not that great. The french onion soup and the burger I had were both underwhelming. Also didnt find the service too great.
Been here several times for breakfast, every time needed to wait for a while but not too long. I like their wood structured interior decor. Food was good, dining atmosphere is lovely.

I came here with my ex a few years ago, he absolutely loves this place, but I was personally not overly impressed. I ordered my steak medium, but it was super dry and overcooked. My soup and tea were both nice, but I wasn’t personally a fan of the salad. The decor,however was absolutely amazing and I loved the feel for the restaurant. The food wasn’t amazing,but I’d be willing to give it a second try and maybe order a rare steak to hopefully avoid it being as dried out as the medium one I ordered.
