Concept is great, food good, but the experience is let down by the poor service. If they want to charge the premium prices that they do! At least get some experienced staff.
First bear in mind the menu posted is old, there are fewer selections and prices are higher. We ordered a 420 burger ($14) and Beautiful burrito with cheese (23.50). At first these prices were alarming but then we remembered hey we are in Banff everything is expensive!! That being said, the fairly bare-bones veggie burger had the best veggie patty we have ever had. It was huge and creamy and the blueberry BBQ sauce complimented it perfectly. We couldn’t believe just how good this thing was and they we weren’t feeling pain from spending $14 on a veggie burger with no side. The burrito was also very good and chick full of interesting ingredients like seeds, carrots, strawberries. It made for a unique flavour sensation. It did not need the cheese add on as we couldn’t even taste it. As good as it was the price tag was still a bit painful. But hey, you’re in Banff to spend, and we highly recommend checking this place out for inspired and delicious vegetarian food.
Nourish Bistro is located on Bear St in the Rockies in the picturesque town of Banff. They are dedicated to making gourmet vegetarian comfort food. Arrived at 11:15 and there was already a lineup. Food was nothing short of amazing drinks were exciting and fresh. I recommendthe Horseradish Caesar.Service was second to none and Chef visited each table. Servers are well trained, efficient and very customeroriented.Ambience in spades, can’t wait to try the evening menu. Highly recommend for everyone .
This place is phenomenal. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. After trying a few not so great places with high prices, we were thrilled to find this place and ended up eating here three times in a short visit. The menu was very creative and everything looked great. I’d highly recommend the king kong noodles for dinner and the veggie panini (comes with a great salad) for lunch, but I’m sure you can’t go wrong at this place. It’s particularly a great find for vegans, vegetarians, and those looking for gluten-free options because of how they clearly label things on the menu- but the food should appeal to anyone who enjoys great food.
Very central, oasis for vegans in Banff, varied options from Thai curry to cheese nachos to quinoa mac cheese to smoothies in almond milk to vegan cheesecake. Server was very friendly. Made you feel comfortable and explained about menu in details. Small portions available. Cup size soup option.
Best vegetarian/vegan restaurant I have ever been to! I loved everything about this place, the super bright colourful decor, the servers, the drinks and especially the num num nachos. Ive tried to recreate this dish at home but its not the same so Ill be making my way back into banff just for this
Wow… killer veg restaurant in Banff. I had the vegan Mac &!Cheez – when you get it vegan, you get upgraded to gnocchi – so good! I’m going to crawl back to my hotel and drop into a food coma. Like Arnie, I will be back!
