I enjoyed a beautiful high tea in the Rundle Lounge over the winter months. I loved the view! It is pricey for what you get, but you are also paying for the atmosphere and location. I wasn’t blown away with the selection of the food, but I left full, and I would definitely return. I would add that given the establishment and cost I would expect more from the service I recieved, but I wasn’t dissatisfied.
Amazing views! The food was very very good. The service could use some work or more servers on. Long waits. I tried the French onion soup and club sandwich. The cocktails are also delicious!
What a magnificient place for afternoon tea. Right when you walk in at the fairmont banff springs, you’ll get an instant royal feel and everything around you is amazing..the chandeliers..the high ceilings of the castle and the beautiful decors. We were a group of 7 girls and we had an amazing experience at the rundle lounge for high tea/afternoon tea. It was $42 per person plus tax and gratituity. So worth the money! You’ll see the beautiful rockies from the big windows. Service is excellent. Must go! Make reservation.
Afternoon Tea at Rundle Lounge. Had lovely time at afternoon tea our server Melissa who was from Australia was excellent ,food service atmosphere,view was wonderful, would highly recommend the Rundle lounge.
LOVE!!! We’ve had the tenderloin bites, the chowder, the flatbread pizza, the club & the banana split holiday drink. Everything was fabulous!! We will continue to eat here throughout our stay.
Where do I begin.. The only acknowledgement we received upon arrival was looks of disdain from both staff and patrons. When we finally found our own seats at a dirty table our server reluctantly brought us waters and wiped the table with a dirty cloth, leaving more debris than when he began. We selected the Angus burger with fries and two soups of the day (parsnip, ginger and orange). After nearly half an hour our food arrived, much to our surprise the soup tasted like dessert, and the Angus burger tasted like tofu. While the server was doing his rounds he would acknowledge and make conversation with the tables around us, but the most we ever got was the stink-eye in judgement for our down jackets. Upon finishing our meal me waited over twenty minutes with our jackets on in hope of receiving our bill so we could pay and leave. When we realized that we were not going to receive our cheque for a long time we left cash on the table (with a generous tip mind you) and left. We expected much greater service and quality at a restraunt with in such a high-class hotel. Two in our party are servers themselves and were greatly disappointed at the lack of respect and care shown by our waiter. Needless to say we will not be returning, we suggest you don’t expose yourself to this type of treatment either. Cheers!
This is a great place to go for appies and drinks for special occasions. Service is amazing and the atmosphere is great. No bums in there.
