Travellers from Saskatchewan. Discovered this lovely lodge and restaurant by chance last week .Entering the main lodge one is immediately taken back in time about 100 years. It was a sunny, cool day and the woodburning fireplace’s aroma filled the antique filled lodge.We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the veranda restaurant. While wasitng for lunch I browsed the gift shop and was delighted to see an excellent selection of new books for sale. There were other lovely things for sale such as Royal Stewart plaid dressing gowns and leather bags.Our meal was delicious ! We asked to see inside a cabin and the girl at the desk passed us a key and only asked that we remove our shoes before entering the cabin.The unique cabin did not disappoint. My husband’s comment was I will stay here. It was charming! Storm Mountain Lodge will definitely be revisited.

Fresh, Healthy, Savoury for sure. My wife and I did a quick get away and did an overnight here – just what the brain needed. If you are looking for the real ‘Canadian Rockies’ experience this is it. The food was great and really fresh, normally you don’t review the veggies but I gotta say the veggies tasted garden grown. We really enjoyed ourselves and it is great that there is really not that many tables and it was great that you can take your dessert over to the leather couches in the foyer area and much in front of the wood burning stone fireplace. The only heads up I would say would be: – The breakfast is simple and chef selected. I wasn’t a huge fan, it was a yogurt parfait with house made granola. It was good but it was a cold day and I wanted something warm. *the fresh baked scones though were excellent. – if you are going when it is cold I would recommend wearing good socks, long pants and a thicker sweater as it is an older lodge and it can be a bit ‘drafty’ – though sound of the two crackling wood burning fireplaces made up for it. We will be back and if breakfast doesn’t change I will just order a basket of warm scones.
Excellent atmosphere. It just started to snow when we were there and the wood burning fireplace was going. Awesome bison burger, love the homemade BBQ sauce! Unfortunately the dessert was left on the plate. The molten cake was over cooked and not at all molten, it was just an overcooked chocolate cake. The server was great until dessert came and we got our bill. She didn’t come by again so we could get a new cake ordered. Oh well, excellent burger and would visit again.
Absolutely incredible. Best meal, beautiful location ! Highly recommend it.
