Always reliable and delicious! Great views from the upstairs part of the restaurant. I had the blackened baseball steak and potato. Both very good.
Been here now just over half an hour. Took over ten minutes to have a server meet us. No food yet but got my beer! No fish and chips today so I asked for the mushroom soup and ribs. Food arrived. No soup!! Arrived after the ribs. Told ribs were beef which I don’t eat but I knew the keg served pork ribs. Waiter checked and guess what – it’s pork!!What’s up with this keg. Usually they give good service. Hoping the food tastes better. My friends salad arrived safely.
After a long drive from Vancouver, we settled in at the Keg. We weren’t looking for anything in particular, but something filling.I ordered a pint of Granville Island beer and bacon wrapped scallops to start. We also got some lb. steaks medium rare. Both were okay, but the portion sizes were tiny.Considering this is a restaurant in a hotel, it worked out well.
We came for dinner and then breakfast the next morning. Both were very good! The server could have been a little more attentive at dinner. I was sitting with no drink for most of the meal but the food was delicious. They have a great breakfast buffet! Excellent selection for a very reasonable price. Their sausages are amazing! The fruit selection was super fresh. Loved it!
Hello Keg customers, its a chain. I ordered the Blue Cheese Filet steak with mixed vegetables it was OK but nothing really popped out flavor wise even though it was wrapped in bacon smoked with apple wood and was topped with blue cheese and garlic. It was more of a smooth taste. The steak cooking was good, I ordered medium rare and expected a little more redness inside but still was OK. My eating buddy had the lobster salad, lobster was nice and the waiter (Matt) was awesome and accommodated our orders as needed.
Service was bad – had to ask for drinks menu, wait ages for drinks, ask twice for bread, ask for the bill, then when we were paying the waitress kept leaving the table. I enjoyed my food but others in the group didn’t.
Slow Service and Mediocre Food. We went to The Keg at Caribou Lodge on a recommendation of a friend. We were a party of 9 with visiting family. There was no one in the dining room when we got there that we ended up spending an hour waiting for our food to come. Food was mediocre at best. Not what I’m used to with the Keg. The Keg seems to be inconsistent with his food quality and service. We even had to ask for bread as they did not deliver it to our table. One of our dishes came out very dry. The server came much into the meal to ask how things were going. When we told him he offered to replace it but we did not want to wait so long for them to make the dish again. The best he could do was 40% off the one dish. It was like we did not even exist. Even when they brought out the food he was bringing two dishes of the time. By the time the last dish came out the first dishes were cold. I can’t imagine how this place runs when it is busy.
