The food seemed fresh but the ribs and chicken wings are still showing redness.. ie not cooked throughly. The lighting in pub is very dark. I would say it was not good as the first time we went. The platter was also much smaller. Place is a bit grungy and could use some updating or cleaning at least. The beer battershrimp was not a good app.

Nice after a hike.. We stopped in here after a long hike, craving a burger and a beer. It is an old school pub, with an nice little patio on main street, and great prices for Banff. You can have your choice of burger patty for the same price ( elk bison salmon chicken beef). The service was great, burgers delicious and the beer cheap!
Nice dark hole in the ground.. The type of place I like to drink my beer. I’ll admit the servers leave something to be desired though.
A satisfying dinner, but more of a local establishment. I decided on this restaurant after having passed by it the day before, and doing some research online. We had already checked out the prices and menu.You don’t really see this restaurant from outside, as you have to go down a set of stairs to get to it. The restaurant itself seems more pub first, and restaurant second although there is ample seating. We walked in, and they don’t appear to sit you so you just sit anywhere you want. Not a big fan of that sometimes, as you never know if the table you get is going to be clean. Karen and I split a hamburger which was good, and my Mom had a Panini which was also good. Fries were perfectly done and consistent, so we enjoyed the meal overall. It was above average, but not the best meal we’ve ever had.Little busy, and too much going on. Service was ok, the server seemed kind of indifferent about us being there, maybe she had had a long day. We were sitting directly behind the servers station, and she simply turned around and dropped three menus on the table and didn’t say a word. It wasn’t terrible service, but she didn’t seem like she was in a good mood or wanted to be there. I never got a chance to use the washrooms, but my girlfriend said they were clean, but nothing fancy.
Surprising. This place looks kind of like a dump, but it was surprisingly good. I had the greek veggie burger and it was to die for. Seriously, where do they come up with this stuff?! My sweet potato fries were over cooked, but still decent. Mom had the BLT and it was more like BBBLT…tonnns of bacon on it. Will definitely be going back very soon and would recommend this place to anyone!!
