This restaurant was a great selection. Banff’s best kept secret hiding behind the great Banff spring hotel. Good and service were excellent. The Weiner Schnitzel is a must!! Kid friendly as well. A trip back in time to traditional European cuisine.
Walking distance to the Fairmont and delicious food! Their fondues are fantastic – cheese, bouillon & chocolate. Great atmosphere to have a blast with a large group or a table for two.
Hidden gem!!! I love coming here in the summer for the patio. Such a great location 🙂 it’s a bit of a walk but worth it for the patio views. The food and service have always been very good.
The Waldhaus was the cherry on top of our visit to Banff. Gorgeous bavarian style house. We had the three course Fondue experience dinner and the cheese fondue was a hit .
Awesome service, amazing views, Banff’s best hidden secret. Secluded and off the beaten track. We started with the steak tartare, our server paired each course with wine- amazing experience, worth the splurge.
Good food!. The Waldhaus restaurant had amazing good and decor . The management was friendly ! But the server was horrible he left for 15 mins after we received our food and was very rude.
Tasty german alpine cuisine. Quality service as expected. We started with the baked onion soup and the potato dumplings. We weren’t a fan of the cognac beef broth, it was too sweet and a hint sour as compared to french onion soup. The potato dumpling was our favorite of the evening, recommended by the server. Three dumplings with nicely crispy coating and flavourful but salty interior sitting on mushroom goulash. This will be our tell everyone story dish.Jager schnitzel was a crispy and well breaded veal, topped with a creamy mushroom ragout. Yum. And the venison medallion was also an amazing dish. Doubly yum.
