Great friendly service. Piggy skins (aka pork rinds) are to die for! Fresh and warm, so yummy. Nachos are a good size and worth the money. Get a good view, but for the country music fan.
This is a decent country pub in Banff. They have a few slot machines, a pool table, and shuffle board in the bar area. There are also tv’s to watch any sports that are on. Their food here is also really good. They serve a different sort of pub fare (western saloon inspired), but it is great. We’d recommend coming here. Their service is usually just ok. Later in the evening it turns into a western bar with two stepping and the like.
Stopped in for a quick bevy. Nice location and looks like a fun place. The cocktails were very reasonably priced. The service was very good.
Been here before and was always inclined to have nachos with friends. They are pretty good, but this time tried the cowpuncher platter. This feast included corn bread, coleslaw, ribs, and brisket, and a single sausage. I’ve heard rave reviews about the brisket, and it was ok. Not something I would must come back to try again. It was lacking in seasoning. Compared to Rockies Industrial Cafe for ribs I would say take the detour to Rockies myself.
The fried pickles make top 5 of all time for me! They were very good! Perhaps they set the bar too high?? Mains were kind of a let down in comparison. The beer battered fries were really tasty though. The waiter was attentive & friendly. The overly loud drunk girls at the next table were super annoying & didn’t look old enough to be drinking- That is neither here nor there. Overall it was mostly a pleasant experience! Will go back for apps
Was really surprised by this place. I thought it was going to be mediocre but it exceeded my expectations. The waiter was very attentive and pleasant, the food came out in a timely manor, and it was pretty darn good food! I got the Elk burger and was impressed. Even though its not hand made in-house the butcher they buy from does a great job of flavoring the meat with herbs and spices. I highly recommend you try it if you haven’t tried elk before. I took a bite of my girlfriends beef burger and by far the elk was a better burger. The beer battered fries were excellent and would also recommend. The only gripe I have would be the fried pickles. They don’t bread the batter so you get a very greasy thin coating of batter that is not very flavorful and falls short compared to the others I’ve had. I personally don’t recommend them.
As a foreigner and tourist from faraway Indonesia, it was a wonderful and great journey to be in Banff. The first time I notice Wild Bill’s is when I was watching a TV show in TLC (Travel Living Channel). The host tasted Wild Bill’s Elk Burger. I was tempted to taste it and that motivated me that I had to visit Wild Bill’s and try the elk burger. The elk burger is really extraordinary that I can’t find it in my country. They served it well. The hospitality at Wild Bill’s is also warm and kind, the waiters are friendly with the guests. One day whenever I have a chance to be in Banff again, I must stop by at Wild Bill’s.
