Wow, the previous reviews were accurate. The people who manage and own this place really know their breads. We came here every morning (for 3 days) during our stay in Banff. Absolutely enjoyed their croissants and sandwiches. Croissants are exactly how they are supposed to be – crisp and flaky on the outside; chewy and buttery on the inside. We had the butter and chocolate croissants. Sandwiches were delicious as well the Grilled Cheese wasnt your typical Cheddar/American cheese melt; if I just take a wild guess – they may be using a combination of Gruyere, Goat Cheese/Provolone/Fontina, and Mild Cheddar. The sliced mushrooms and sweet bell peppers combined with the cheeses beautifully. Even the house-made bread had a crusty cheese layer on its surface. The Deli Meat sandwich certainly delivered too. The filling included a variety of cold cuts paired with sliced crunchy pickles and veggies, topped off with a sweet mustard-like sauce. Perfect balance of flavors in both sandwiches. Ill definitely come back the next time Im in Banff.

We rode here on our bikes from the Canmore Visitor Center, about 20km. Plenty of bike parking out front. I had a falafel sandwich, with carrot soup and a triple chocolate cookie, while my friend had a kale salad with a Montral smoked meat sandwich. Both of us enjoyed the meal in the outdoor courtyard.

Stopped by this cute, hip little bakery after running the 10K race at the Banff Marathon. The breakfast panini was incredibly delicious and of a generous portion – I couldn’t finish all of it (which made my husband very happy as he scarfed up my leftovers!). I was very happy to see flat white coffees on the menu, and knowing how many Aussies/Kiwis venture to Banff for a summer working holiday, I knew it was going to be authentic (it was!). Very delicious! Next time I’m there, I’m going after the muffins!

Without a doubt really delicious coffee! Depending what time you arrive there might be some baked goods to choose from. The butter croissant was so amazing and flaky that we were craving it again the next day. So we went back & played ring around the rosey until finally finding a place to park at about 1030am and they were out! And they weren’t going to restock, super disappointed after everything. Very surprised they wouldn’t keep restocking considering how busy it was and they literally have the bakery right there. Would have loved to give a higher rating but can’t. If you can get there early enough to get your hands on the few yummy food items might be worth it. Missed opportunity for great experience.

If you have celiac disease give this place a miss! I was visiting Banff with my family a few weeks ago and did some research to find somewhere I could go eat that had gluten free options. Their website says they have some, including that their soup of the day is ‘always gf and vegan’. Sadly I got there to find that their soup wasn’t gluten free, and the only gf options they had were brownies, muffins and a rather sad looking kale salad. Not exactly robust lunch material for a Canadian winter. Also, upon telling them I was celiac, they gave me a disclaimer about how their gf options may still contain gluten….I’m not sure what precautions they take when it comes to food prep to make sure the gluten and gf items are separated. Anyway, it was an inconvenience and a waste of time, so if you eat gf to be trendy go for it! But if you need gf options find somewhere else. Would be good if they updated their website so other celiacs aren’t caught out going there.

Opens early, giving early morning breakfast seekers some options other than Starbucks. Organic and vegan fare, great coffee, and good selection of baked goods.

Overall this was a great find in Banff as we stopped on our way through. All the food was delicious and catered to the food sensitivities between three of us (allergies to sesame, wheat, eggs, chocolate). The focaccia panini (can’t remember if it was grilled veggies or tuna) was delicious as were ALL the pastries we bought (cookies, muffins). Chai latte was a good energy boost for the long drive. However, the Thai coconut soup was awful – arguably the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. Overloaded with onions and tomatoes. They need to either remove it from the menu or learn how to make it properly. Whether you’re passing through Banff or staying here, take the time to stop in at this great eatery. Just avoid the Thai coconut soup!
