If you’re coming here just to get a few drinks,you’re safe. If you want food and have tastebuds do yourself a favour and lick an ashtray before eating here. I’ve heard of food being sweet and savoury, or salty and sour, these are none of the things you can taste here. Instead you can get propane and gassy, or slimey and dirty. Maybe I’m not the trendiest eater but these are not the flavours I want with my dinner. Anyway, my chicken parm was so tough I couldn’t chew, my boyfriend ordered his steak rare and it came out well done, both with the worst garlic bread I’ve ever had. Too bad. They do, however, have my favourite beer on tap. 🙂

The worst review I’ve ever had to give. There’s is no 0 otherwise I would rate it at that.1. I didn’t get to try the food or drinks.2. It was a slum inside. Depressing and dark with just a few randoms sitting around the bar and at VLTs with a tired, unfriendly bartender. 3. Their rooftop patio (which is why we went there at 3pm on a 21C day!) was not open until 5pm?!! 5pm?! Patio?!! Ummmm hello?!We went two doors down to Madison’s instead which was lovely, friendly, AND had a FULL patio!!Management here may want to reconsider their patio policies, staff,…oh and maybe renovate while you’re at it. Super disappointed Maybe it’s just a ‘front’ business.
Great place – the fries and gravy were AMAZING and our wings came out promptly. The staff was nice and overall I had a nice experience and would come back.
We come to this establishment once or twice a week. We have been coming for years. We have seen the good the bad and the ugly throughout these times. The waitress they have now are excellent. Tony the newest owner is awesome as well. The food is good. It has a mixed crowd and everyone that goes theor is very friendly. I like that they are trying to make it a bit more classy in their too. It is a lot of fun and nice to see it doing s well.
Service sucks!!. The Pig & Whistle has to be, by far, the worst service in the NW. I sat in there for 25 minutes and NOBODY came to serve me. I got up and got my own beer from the bar. I then went back to get my own menu, at which time the bartender said the waitress would be over. 10 minutes later, an empty beer bottle, menu closed, still no service. Absolutely fukn brutal
Awful Service. Went in for wings. They were small and had an odd taste to them. Oddly enough I quite enjoyed the peanut butter and jelly wings as they covered the taste. Ordered twenty each to be full. Ordered a diet coke and vodka, first one was flat, and she brought me a new one which was also dead flat. I was charged for the drink, then after telling them the problem got 10% off while the drink sat on the table untouched. Poor service.
