I usually come here for beers. Only tasted their food a couple of times.Good beer selection, fast service, decent food. When you order the nachos and get extra cheese, be prepared cause they really load it. I don’t really care for the salsa, but they give you a lot of it and a lot of sour cream, their guacamole is really good too. It’s a great place to go when it’s nice out, you can go to the upstairs patio.
One of the best hidden patios in Calgary! Great selection of food and drinks. For the price, food was delicious. We have also been here for brunch and highly recommend it on a sunny weekend. Wait staff are quick, friendly and courteous. They did bring out the wrong burger for lunch and then didn’t charge us for the burger. Overall, it’s a great little place for a relaxed meal.
The food was not the best. The fries were greasy and soaked with oil, and appeared like the bottom of the bag with tons of little ends. The patio seemed like a nice touch but there was no umbrella on our table so we were scorched by the sun. I wont be back.
Great place to go if you have a couple vegan friends with you, options for everyone. The atmosphere, patio, and food are delightful.
Tess Goes with Friends for Comedy Night. This place has decent bar food and a super fun atmosphere, but the staff are so grumpy they bring the whole thing down. Also our server was so hopeless, when my boyfriend and I asked for our bill separately since we had to lave early she gave us the entire table’s bill with a pencil and told us to figure it out. Wow….there were like 8 of us and most of us were drinking the same thing so that was fun…not to mention some drinks were before happy hour and after….also fun trying to figure out what was when…I’ve worked at a busy bar and never in my life have I told someone to figure out their bill. If you can’t divide it at the end you should keep track throughout…any who I would go back, hopefully on a night when everyone is in a better mood, and hopefully with a better server.
Ah Broken City. Been a regular for a while so thought I’d post a review. I don’t often eat here but the food is better than average and if your a vegan the options are better than most. Chickpea fries are killer and beer is always cold and fresh and cheap happy hour prob the cheapest place for a 20 Oz pint from 2-8. It’s a dive bar with great music and game nights so treat it as such. Service is great and ownership cares as well as the kitchen staff. So hey help out an independent place!
