Definitely some of the best bar food in Calgary. Broken’s cool vibe, great service, and pretty extensive selection of vegan menu options make it a great hangout. Plus they’ve got good cocktails. I’d definitely recommend the Poipu Burger ($13 – make sure to get a side of the mean vegan chili) and the onion rings (which have a cool almost tempura-like batter). Never disappoints!
Great pub food. Possibly best in Calgary. The atmosphere is very ‘unique’ – very grungy. The vibe is skid bar and nothing is done to dissuade you that the kitchen is run by meth addicts – which is a shame in a sense because the kitchen is top top top notch. The food is amazing and far exceeds what one would assume. Though perhaps thats what makes it a hidden gem.Also, decent local brew selection and nice drinks.
