Try the lemon cream cake here – one of the best cakes I ever had. The decorations are beautiful, totally worth the money. I recommend this small bakery to my friends and so far never failed.
This is a cute little patisserie tucked away on the lower floor of the building. While the selection of baked goods isn’t quite as large as other patisseries in the city, the few goods they do have make quite a treat. Each pastry is beautifully decorated, which always make the decision of what to choose difficult! My personal favourites would have to be their cheesecake brownies and chocolate espresso cheesecake. If you have a sour tooth, their lemon curd tart won’t disappoint you. Service has always been great and keeps me coming back. They’re a bit on the pricey side, but it’s good to treat yourself once in a while!
This place is my vain of my healthy walks at lunch. I make the mistake of walking by and go in everytime. The cookie are so good. In fact everything is delicious. Stop in.
I tried the lemon cream cake awhile ago and the white chocolate mousse cake was just as impressive. Love the decoration and the cake was so tasty and moist. My guests and I all enjoyed it very much, it’s definitely for one of those special occasions!
Yummy treats. In an awesome building full of great food-i-ness. If you are looking for a really nice sweet for someone’s birthday, or whatnot, try this place. If you want to treat yourself–do it. They have some delicious chocolate creations. A few are single serving sizes! The chocolate cake I took home to share with my family was perfectly rich and sumptuosly layered with degrees of chocolate. Or go for the chewy ginger snaps. The staff here are so friendly (especially the owner!) and although it can get busy, they make you feel at home.
I would really really love to say something positive about the desserts at brle, the presentation was pretty, there I said it. Sorry but that’s about it! The diablo torte really wasn’t that good, the peanut butter mousse thingy was sickly sweet and the frangipane tart was lacking the yummy almond filling and the pastry tasted fatty. It’s hard to critic fellow pastry chefs but putting flowers and gold leaf over everything makes things look pretty but it has to be backed up with a good product.
Best gourmet bakery in town. This is my go-to Bakery for special occasions and people in my life. The cakes are meticulously made and garnished with either flowers or fruit – I usually opt for fruit, and they definitely don’t skimp. Beautiful and artistic. The cakes are not overly sweet, and each bite is heavenly. I have had the blackberry lemon daquoise, coconut white chocolate, a bundt cake, to name a few, and all were spectacular. I did find the bundt cake to be slightly dry for my liking, though.A small cake (serves 6 – generous sized pieces) is about $40. Money well spent.
