Close to perfect, If your idea of a night out is a good chat over a pint, with cool music at a nice volume and cozy surroundings , this place is for you. Like a proper English pub, it’s all about the ambience, and the beer, not loud sports on blaring TV’s.loses half a mark for not having many local brews, get in some Dandy or Village and it’s top marks !
My daughter and I stooped in for the beer, but we stayed for the pizza. Pizza here is great. This isn’t your pizza where you need to load up on toppings because the portions are small. You get your fill with just your regular pep and mushroom. No TVs here but that’s good unless you want to watch sports. Tip: Watch out for some of these micro-brews. They’re very good but sometimes they’re more than 5%. I drank a full pint of this special one and started on another pint when my daughter pointed out the brew I tried was 11%! That’s a bottle of wine. I couldn’t tell because it tasted like apricots. Best to ask the bartender for alcohol content if you don’t know.

Bad. Thought this would be a cool place to check out. It wasn’t. It smells like urine, and the beer tastes dirty. For a place that is a beer house/pub, you’d think they would make sure their beer lines were clean before serving expensive craft beers. The beer reps would be disappointed to know that they are serving dirty beers. Will not be going back.
Character Bar. From the outside you might think you are walking into grandmas house but I’ve never seen a grandma with this much great beer! This pub has lots of character. Good service and it is always filled with great people. A great spot to hang out with friends.
Best pub in the area. Cool atmosphere, basically a house which has been converted. Pool table and foosball are pluses. They have good and unique pizza. Sometimes hard to find a table, and awkward if you can’t find one as limited space to stand.
Genuine and unique. Closest to a British pub you could come without faking it. A nice atmosphere without loud music…a pleasant, cozy place to chat with a good selection of beers. Nachos are to die for, and the homemade pizza is rich and good. Service could not be better and value is better than most comparable places in Calgary. When leaving the place, I always feel good.
