just nowThis is a horrible place. The customer service is crap. They will kick you out before you even finish your food. And when you tell them the experience was not par the server has the audacity to argue. So this all started while we were driving there, we were attending a Birthday and knowing downtown got there 5 minutes later than our 530 time we had confirmed. The remainder of the party and the Birthday girl and her family were already there. We started getting calls to place our order WHILE DRIVING. We were just at their entrance and they would not wait. So we placed the order. The whole service was crap from the time we centered. No body at the door to direct us to the table, when we asked for forks since we had people who have never used chopsticks in their lives. The waitress gave us the look like we murdered someone. Then the drinks toom them a good 20 minutes. As we were eating as soon as we took the last bite, We already had a waitress waiting in our head to pick up everything. There was no room to even breathe. Then desert came out. While people were still eating the desert we got kicked out and told to take our desert and move to the lounge. Not even requested or asked, literally told. When we get to the lounge before we sit down to finish, the Bill’s started arriving before we finished our desert . So I asked the waiter in this blue shirt Is it normal to kick customers from the table while they are still having dessert?. Instead of apologizing he started arguing that they should have denied us seating. What a snob. We decided to pay and get the hell out of there. Never going to this place. They are useless. First experience and it was terrible terrible terrible!!

Consistently delicious for the past eight years I’ve been. There my go to restaurant for any event. Never disappointed. I’m also filled with high quality meat and plenty of sides to go along

Japanese Village is such a unique dining experience. It’s a great place to take kids and the chefs cook your meal right in front of your table and are very entertaining to say the least! It is a little bit on the pricey side, but you are also being entertained and get high quality food. I ordered the steak option and as for it rare. It was cooled perfectly! These chefs are talented. I don’t know how they keep track of everything but they do! If you’re looking for something different then come here. It’s so much fun! Sorry I didn’t post a pic this time but I totally forgot we were having too much fun.

First off, we were 5 mins late due to Enmax blocking off the road, they almost gave away our table, wouldn’t seat the other 3 members of our dining party even go to the table. It was hot, stifling, terrible wobbly chairs, crammed around the counter, loud. We had an 8 year old that had a great time, couldn’t hear a word the chef said. The show was fun, the food could have been from the mall. Too expensive for a meal that was 1/2 onion and bean sprouts. They were not friendly whatsoever to our party. They took the 8 year old salad away before he was even finished not even paying attention to 3 of us saying he wasn’t finished with it. It’s a get them in and get them out attitude. Was very rude for the money we paid. There are zero customer service skills and the 8 year was made to feel shame because he couldn’t use chopsticks. Ya we ended up walking him to regrub for a milkshake. So thanks for that. Not letting the dining party sit because of something beyond our control was extremely rude we had reservations they could have sat, and ordered for us, I mean there are like 5 things on the whole menu. With the new fandangled technology we could have put our order in and missed the show. Instead of being made to feel like 5 mins was so unreasonable to be late.

Dinner and a show! I love this place, its always a great time, I highly recommend getting as many friends together as you can so you can get an entire section to yourselves. Its great aside from the parking around the area being limited its worth paying the outrageous downtown parking fees cause the prices at Japanese village are more than reasonable to justify it.

Japanese Village is a great restaurant, the food is excellent and the staff is friendly and entertaining. We arrived one time and were seated shortly after arriving, the space is quite small, probably too small for the number of occupants in the restaurant. The chefs do an excellent job at putting on a great show and keeping you entertained. The staff is very friendly. It is a more expensive place to go to however it is worth it. For $30.00 I ordered the chicken & shrimp teriyaki, it comes with a starter of soup, then salad, and a bowl of rice, sauces are served on the side too. A very filling and tasty meal that makes me want to come back again. * The only down fall is the menu didn’t have many options for food.

Super awful experienceWould give zero star if I can. The manager thats in on Jan 09 2017 is very rude and extremely arrogant. We were told to book our reservation time at 7:45. Got here at 7:35 just to be sure that we are not late because of the bad weather. Sit at 7:45, and in between 8:05, a good 20min passed nobody came to ask if we would like anything to drink. We ask the manager if the restaurant have anything against late customer? Are we gonna sit here an hour wait for other people, if they don’t come? He said yes, and when we ask if we could sit with other people or at other table? He said: As you can see we are full (actually is not), if you want to sit at the wait area, feel free! I ask to eat teppanyaki? He said: no. so far 8:30, no food in my plate yet.
