There are very few spots where you can get chicken other than chicken wings. Tonight I had the Fried Chicken and biscuits, It was great. three pieces of chicken breast, coleslaw and pickles. Very well done. Loved it. Great service, nice patio on a sunny afternoon or evening. Try it out.Its a place we meet up before a hockey game or just to hang out for a few drinks. Love me some tater tots.I like Thursday for the Clive Burger and a beer (or they allowed me a wine) for $15.00
Delicious margarita slurpees and their Glory Bowl are not only big portions but filled with delicious flavors. I added in the chicken and took out the tofu as I am not the biggest fan of tofu. Their prices aren’t ridiculous and it’s value for money. Love the outside patio area in summer.
Meh. Overpriced and mediocre. ‘Fine’ food consists of poutine (mmm he says rolling his eyes) pot pie and $20 corn dogs. Those are cheaper at Stampede if you think corn dogs (Weiners basically) and $7 highballs are gourmet they just sold you a load of Cowtown goods. The only reason to go here is to meet girls — who like horn dogs. At the risk of being sexist, you really have to be careful of what you put in your mouth.
Service was horrible. Waited for 20 minutes for a waitress then another 20 for my drink to come. Ended up taking so long due to a minor being let in and made a big scene. Decided to get the bill for our drinks, left hungry and disappointed.
Very lively place, great one to hang out for a drink with some nibbles. The large patio is excellent on sunny evenings. As food went the oysters were awesome as were the ceasers. Chicken wings however were so so. We weren’t too hungry so didn’t try the mains but would come back just for the atmosphere…
For starters, the caesars were terrible. They just tasted like watered down vodka with a splash of Clamato. No spice or any flavour whatsoever. My friend ordered the burger sliders and they were alright. Nothing special. I got the tacos and they were okay. Needed more seasoning.
I normally go to the Westhills location and this one seems a bit smaller. I have only been here the one time for brunch but the service was great and quick and the food was very good. I had eggs benny and it was very filling. What I do love about all the Nationals is that they are kid friendly, a rare find in Calgary. momnomnomsblog.wordpress.com
