I adore this coffee shop. Whenever I have plans to meet a friend for a coffee, it will most likely be happening at Philosafy. The staff is friendly, inviting and care to get to know their regulars. I enjoy the coffee much more than the shop down the street and the kombucha they sell is bomb! Love everything about this place. The patio, the interior decor, ambience and snacks. Woo! See you this week
Not impressed. The place has a good feel to it, but definitely lacks good coffee. The difference between their large and small cappuccino is the amount of milk in it – we asked the barista when the large cap only tasted of milk (yikes). What was more displeasing was that they didn’t even offer to re-make it. Don’t think I’ll be going here again.
The place is nice and it is kinda new. But hey, what’s a cafe without good coffee? Their coffee didn’t taste as good as the other cafes that I’ve been to in Calgary. Then of course there is the crowd which should be in a library – working on their laptops, sitting at the same spot after buying just one coffee. There should be a time limit on how long someone can stay, at least on busy days such as weekends
Cute little cafe on 17th, perfect place to meet up for a first date or with some friends. The chocolate croissant is absolutely insane! Prices are a little extravagant but nothing out of the ordinary in terms of local cafes. Definitely recommend.
Mediocre. Slow service even when there’s no line up, they lack communication all in general. The person who served us made one of the two drinks we ordered and forgot about the other one altogether or just left it for her coworker to finish without telling him. He didn’t even know why we were standing there waiting for 15 minutes for a drink.
Very friendly staff and delicious beverages. There’s also plenty of space sit and get some work done. It’s by far my favorite coffee shop on 17th Ave.
