Donuts have changed. WHY!!!?. Why did the Italian Bakery change up their donut recipe?! Don’t fix something that’s not broke. The new donuts are denser and taste like day-olds, or like they’ve been frozen. They’re smaller too. I swear the chocolate is a lot less chocolatey too.Italian Bakery: please revert to your tried and true original recipe for donuts, and cut back on the variety. You were awesome when you had less variety and fresh tasting donuts.
Bread. Me and my husband have been going to Italian bakery for years for their fresh breads. Last couple times we have went. We are only offered the 100% brown bread now. When we always got the 80% before. I find that the 100% brown bread, is so darn dry. Can’t even make a good sandwich. Always have to toast it! I would like to see the 80% back. It’s so much fresher and stays fresh. The kids have even noticed.
No Bike Racks??. One day last week, I rode my bike all the way from the west end, thinking I would stop in for a coffee & a canoli…..well, when I arrived I discovered there was no place to lock my bike up (it’s not a cheapie, and I’m fussy)…..so I just kept on riding:(…..by the time I got home, I had put on 24 miles! They need to put a bike rack out front that can be seen from seats near the windows!!
Beware, the turnovers are addictive. The service always helpful. On one hand I should come here more often, on the other hand if I do that, I might break the scale. This is real food, made with real butter. These pastries make that stuff at Tim’s taste like cardboard.

Their tiramisu is what keeps me coming back!
