I wanted to give a review for their sausages and bacon, but it doesn’t seem like there is one for Mundare Sausage House. It is located within the restaurant so here I am with a review. I didn’t eat here, but I went and bought some ham garlic sausage and sliced side bacon. The sausage tasted amazing. I know bacon should have fat on them, but the bacon I got was like 95% fat and 5% meat. It tasted good, but it left my mouth tasting weird after. Maybe because of the amount of fat from the bacon. I gave the rating a 4 because the sausage tasted amazing. I would definitely not buy the bacon from them but the sausages is worth it.

The bonus was my buddy and i decided to share a combo plate and they actually split it up for us in the kitchen….nice touch! The service, despite the busyness, was flawless, friendly and fast. A long ways from the west end, but heh, Id do that again!
You’re first greeted by a massive deli counter full of deliciousness in the forms of sausage, profiles and other Ukrainian favorites and off to the left is a little seating area where you can sit down with your family to enjoy extremely readonabley priced Ukrainian food. The waitstaff are super friendly and a shout out to our incredible sweet and kind hostess today Marie who even notes your name down when you order! If you haven’t tried Mundare sausage, you haven’t lived in Alberta. Been eating their sausage since I was a kid and my parents would make the drive out to Mundare before you could buy them in the city and at various community fundraisers. They have been making their sausages for 50+ years and they know what their doing! I’m super full after trying their savory perogies, super fluffy cabbage rolls, creamy cheese crepes, super creamy dill sauce on baked sweet bubs, amazing borst, sausage and meatballs today. Definitely a must go to place. . To pig out on a little bit of Alberta history.. and you can buy some to bring home after too! Now.. time for a nap! eatyourcity.ca
My bf and I went to eat here and felt strange. All the customers ate and left the minute they got the bill. Felt strange. We did like the food
5 stars across the board!!! Amazing, some of the best flavoured and portioned Ukrainian food I have ever had. Will be a constant customer from now on 🙂
Don’t even bother. Everything in my meal was tasteless. The pirogies, bun, cabbage rolls… TASTELESS. I’m not sure why I decided to give it a second shot since the first try was so horrible. But I did. And it’s still a no. The pirogies are barely stuffed. If you insist, however, on trying this place out, make sure you get onions. Those were the only thing to produce a flavor of some sort. Won’t be back.
