What a neat place!. A friend and I went there last Sat and what a warm and friendly place. We loved the retro atmosphere too! The owner, Marv, was so very gracious and sang for us…a lovely and memorable experience. It made our day and his soda shop unforgettable! Carolyn Sandstrom (Okotoks)
We visit Marv’s several times a year. This is not a 2015 fast food, grab and go place. Marv’s unique niche is is a step back into 1950 & 1960. The decor, uniforms and atmosphere reflect a time passed. Walls are covered with cool collectable pieces. A Juke box and booth units actually work and play oldies from the past. The food has always been good and ample portions. If your looking for a fast food gulp and go burger, stay in the city. At Marv’s take time to visit, talk and enjoy a trip back in time. Can’t wait for our next ice cream fix. Dave
BAD burgers/BAD service. I read the story last year about a diner called Marv’s, and how they may go out of bus., due to the floods last year. I just now managed to make it to their location the other day. I had ordered a hamburger/fries. Let me tell you, I should have got up and left. It was obvious that the bun was freezer burnt, it was dry and falling apart. The meat was not properly seasoned, if seasoned at all, the lettuce was not prepped properly and the fries – they were French fry ends. This was the worse hamburger I have ever had in my life. Granted you know the cost beforehand when ordering, but you would expect quality – this was far from quality. Will not return back to this place.
