Very Dissapointed in the attitude.. We visited this place again for the fist time since he floods. I understand it has been taken over by new owners one month ago. The main issue for us was the fact that a pregnant woman came in with two girls (about 6 & 4 yrs) and they wanted he bathroom. They were told no and to go and use the Shell gas station. Sad to say that neither my wife nor myself stood up for them. We asked the owner and she said that its her policy to say no to everyone even kids, she had not noticed that the lady was pregnant. She says she is charged a lot for the bathroom.As far as our pizza goes it was quite good (but pricey at $23 for 2 toppings) a little soggy on the bottom for our own personal taste but nothing to complain about. The bathroom issue will stop us from going back, people who have this sort of attitude don’t need our support.
We have been eating here for 7 years. We often will order a pizza to take home on our way through. They have been our favorite pizza restaurant in the whole region including the city of Calgary. Tonight I had my wife stop in on the way home and she picked up 2 large pizza’s including their house special. When we opened them up, they looked like some of the worst crappy throw together cheap pizza that we have ever seen. Even the crust and sauce was mediocre at best. We immediately surmised that the place might have been taken over by someone else and checked here to find out it is true. We are very disappointed! You would think that someone who takes over a successful and longstanding restaurant with a loyal customer base would learn the previous owners ways and want to keep up the quality. Sadly, this is not the case. Now just one of thousands of mediocre and worse restaurants. Without serious change, I cannot see them lasting too long. We will not be back.
Used to be good. The old owners sold this place which was some of the best food I have had, but now with the new owners the food is garbage, the menu sucks and the service is crap. I don’t expect them to be in business long. I ordered burger and fries and the fries were so hard they almost broke my teeth and the burger was very meh. R.I.P mountain bistro.
Yummiest Burgers!!!. We stopped in on a Saturday after cross country skiing. The (long) wait was so worth it! The homemade burgers were incredibly delicious and enhanced with feta and mushrooms. The fries and soup were also tasty. Will return!
Getting worse and worse. We have been going to this bistro a handful of times for the past couple years. The pizza is always good, the other dishes not as much. We went today and we will not be going back. We arrived at 3pm, with a few people already at tables. We ordered two small pizzas and by 4pm they were not ready with no explanation. A table of people that came shortly after us got their food first. I worked at a pizza restaurant for several years, fresh pizza takes 25 minutes to prepare, and these being smalls it shouldn’t take as long. Apparently there was a big argument in the kitchen and a staff member left. We paid for our drinks and went to another place. When we were leaving there was a group coming in. About 30 minutes later we saw these people at the bar next door eating, guess we weren’t the only displeased customers. The owner of this restaurant needs to make some serious changes if they want to keep customers.
Best little restaurant EVER. IncredibleHOMEMADE food, incredible service… Best Pizza ever! Don’t listen to those bad reviews… You just can’t please everyone… Yes we waited a little extra but like their sign says fresh food takes time!!! And it’s worth it… The staff were so busy but always smiling !!! One that was a charm I believe her name was Lori… She was amazing…brilliant at her job and obviously she enjoys what she does! Highly recommend everything but particularly loved the chicken Alfredo pizza( Loris fave) as well the homemade burgers to die for! We will definitely be back … You should try this place for sure it’s a hidden little gem!
I am very sad to say, but I told my sister and her husband that this place was amazing so I got them to drive up here from calgary with me and there two kids, we sat in the restaurant for literally over an hour and 35 minutes wish I was lying and the only thing we ordered was one pizza and a kids pasta which I myself work in the industry and it only takes about 24 minutes tops for a pizza and pasta not long, I went up to the server and asked how much longer and she lied to my face and told me the cook lost the bill which I would normally believe but I was sitting and watching the kitchen which had the chits up , so we walked out , went to snack mania. Then decided to go back and talk with her she admitted that the cook never lost the bill and I asked for the owner or managers number at that time two more tables were up and walked out aswell, on that note I will never tell anyone else about this place and will never return
