Would frequent this restaurant as a nice outing from Calgary. Ambiance and decor is amazing. Went recently with friends who have an infant daughter. When staff were asked where the change table was they replied change her on the floor. Wont be back for your average food.
My wife and I went here on our Anniversary this past weekend. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fabulous, the lighting is not too dark and really creates a comfortable cosy farmhouse feel. That part they did very well. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and on top of refills etc. The food the other hand, well that was something else all together. The brought out a very small sized piece of focaccia bread with oil and vinegar to share (basically about the size of a twinky. We ordered Calamari as a starter, it was rubbery and over salty, with some greens on the side (not breaded and no dipping sauce fyi). Not what we expected but okay. Then I ordered stuffed pasta shells that were backed with cheese and had chicken inside. To be honest on presentation alone I was deeply disappointed. There were literally 4 stuffed shells just bigger than a twoony coin each. The stuffing was a tasteless and mushy chicken concoction that was bland and left me feeling ripped off. My wife had a seafood dish with rounded ravioli type noodles. This dish was better on the portion side and better on the taste side as well. There were enough pieces of seafood and the taste was okay. All together it was an all right very expensive evening. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We had linguine ai frutti di mare, risotto petto d’antra, ravioli all’aragosta, we really enjoyed them. And the service is also good, so of course 4.5 it is 🙂
Awesome visit. Got a spot in the patio, food was excellent. Servers were a bit confused, they just didn’t know who was taking our table. But once that was sorted out it was a really great time! Will definitely be back.
Gorgeous location out in the trees of Bragg creek. Restaurant has great comfy chairs and couches at rough cut wood tables. Service is friendly and stellar and quick to the table. Pasta for the table! Tagatelli, linguine, and ravioli served with warm rosemary focaccia with balsamic followed by tiramisu. Flavors are fresh and authentic Italian. Enjoyed our visit.
Outstanding! The sauce for the calamari had a wonderful flavor, and was a perfect precursor for our salads. The bread with oil and balsamic vinegar was a nice touch as well. Our waiter was prompt and attentive.
We had the meats balls, muddled, seafood linguini, and oven baked shells. This was the best Italian food we have had. This coming from European people. Loved, loved, loved every single bite. Honestly, please do yourself a favour and eat here.
