The Kilkenny’s got a pretty great rustic vibe, one that immediately transports you to Ireland. The staff are very attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home. I ordered the Big Pub Burger ($15) and also sampled the Brisket Dip ($17) and Yorkshire Tidbit ($17.50). The burger had a nicely grilled patty with lots of toppings, and it came on a really good brioche bun that was sturdy enough to hold the whole thing together. I had asked for no cheese on the burger and it came with it anyway, which was slightly annoying but certainly not unforgivable. The Brisket Dip was really quite good: the meat was very tender and fairly lean (some brisket dips you end up getting more fat than actual meat it seems), and it came with a horseradish mayo that added a nice amount of heat. The Yorkshire Tidbit was also really good. The fries that came with the burger were passable, but not quite as crispy as I would like. All the portions are very generous: I certainly wasn’t able to finish the mountain of fries that came with my burger. If you’re in the mood for some classic Irish pub fare, the Kilkenny certainly won’t disappoint.

It’s fun. The space is huge, it has vibe. Closest to an Irish pub as you can get outside England — the dichotomy is deliberate, food notwithstanding. Wings and burgers aren’t exactly authentic, but it’s a common complaint. The owners tell me they can’t sell real Irish food — pork hocks and sheep stomachs — in this city. I beg to differ. That said the whole Irish pub concept is dated, it’s so 1992. I haven’t seen so many Irish pubs in one end of town. We went on mussels night, it was good. Over cooked — which is what you’d expect in CTown — but not gross. The broth was good. I just walk into this place and see missed potential.

Bad to Good. We reluctantly came here originally for UFC events since there are always seats. Years ago it was acceptable, but service declined. We arrived in May, waited 15 minutes for anyone to notice us before leaving for Jamiesons. August 20 2016 was a much better experience! Wait staff were excellent (we had 2 and sadly I don’t remember their names) drinks were prompt and we even risked a food order. The calamari were tender (we don’t expect Greek island fresh) and the aioli was tasty, a very large plate for $15. Clearly there has been a change in management that extends to the kitchen. Good Work!

This place is huge. Service was okay, though the kitchen failed to do some of the things my party asked for, like placing a sandwich in a lettuce wrap instead of bread. I had the chicken and Brie sandwich, nothing special and way too expensive for the serving size. The Brie was almost nonexistent. Sweet potato fries were meh. Others were less than thrilled by their meal.

food was okay. their tacoes are huge and filing. however, it takes forever for the food to come to the table and the server didn’t smile at all.

Kilkenny is a great Irish pub with lots of seat and super friendly staff ! They have new flatbread pizzas that are really good and loaded with toppings. Only complaint, not very good drink specials. So the bill can get pretty high pretty fast

OK, this is a fake Irish pub because it’s not in Ireland but once you are through the doors it sure feels authentic. It’s a huge pub with lots of different areas, seating options, and lots to look at. It’s nice and dark inside and a bit rustic (i.e. shabby) but it adds to the authentic feel. Good choice of beer, and they do schooners too (a litre of beer). Typical pub food, and friendly servers. And I think they have sporting events and live music on the big screen and stage in the back room. Lots of free parking, and 2 mins from LRT.
