Their com ga ro ti is the best in the city. The dish is a fried chicken leg on a bed of tomato fried rice (I recommend adding a fried egg too. Break the yolk over the rice :D). The chicken is perfectly crispy and the rice is to die for!!! Another great item on the menu is their bun cha ca, a fish cake noodle soup. Very few Viet places in the city make this soup, maybe because it’s hard to make well (?) Theirs is soooo delicious. It’s a must-try!

Keeps me coming back. My family and I have been coming back to Calgary Trail Noodle House for years. And although I’ve tried almost every item on the menu, the one I love most is the lemongrass chicken on rice. Every Vietnamese restaurant in the city I always get the same thing, but this is still the best I’ve yet encountered. The lemongrass sauce is always present without being too intrusive, the spice is just right, the rice is perfect – and the nice bit of lettuce and tomato on the side give a nice little veggie crunch to the whole package.Service is always good. And although the owners seem to have some difficulty with English, they have always been very kind and helpful.
I really like the noodle house. The staff knows us and they’re always really nice. We never find the service is slow and always get our food super fast. We like the spring rolls (the best I’ve ever tasted), green onion cakes, chicken pho, the spicy beef pho, and their vermacili bowls.
Expensive, not private, feels unorganized, n after we only had one bit of the honey garlic pork then complained they did nothing about it. We felt it was gross, would never recommend going there!!!!!!
Good – most of it. I moved nearby and have gotten take-out here about 5 times in the last couple weeks. The crispy ginger beef is one of the best I’ve ever had. Combination rice noodle dishes are excellent. Sweet and sour soup was gross, and the chicken balls are in a tempura like batter which really wasn’t good, would never order those again either. The good stuff I’ve had was very good. The misses, well they were just not to my taste at all, Overall, the good outweighs the bad, Thumbs up! And even for take out, when they say 15 min, it really means 30,
