Don’t trust the ratings; prolly made by people expecting westernized Chinese food. This tiny place offers very authentic north-eastern cuisine while it could have been a bit spicier and less salty. However, it is a small establishment incapable of accommodating large (8-10) parties. In terms of bang for buck, it’s not bad ($$/$$$$) but the portioning is nothing to write home about. Overall, a good addition to Edmonton’s Chinese food scene.
With a location next to Escape City and Tropika and the not-so-great Yumioca, why hasn’t this place garnered more attention? I think it’s because it has a small footprint in the strip mall and it does not do any advertisement.Well here I am to tell Edmonton about this cool new way to chill that is not 1. Fried Chicken 2. Bubble Tea 3. Ramen 4. Hot Pot. It’s Chinese BBQ skewers! Sometimes you just don’t want to go for a full-blown meal like authentic Chinese food or hot pot, but you don’t want the meager and crappy food offerings at bubble tea places. What do you do? You need a crossover of the above. This place offers traditional Chinese beef noodles and skewers. While I wish I had gone to China to compare, I’ll have to say it’s decent and reasonably priced eats here. The only one thing I wish I hadn’t ordered so much of was the fatty pork slices (but they were so good!). The beef noodles were to die for as well. Something smaller portion sized from Noodle Feast. Like I said, think Chinese tapas/izakaya place. This place has been opened for about 8 months now and I think it’s time we give it some attention. Oh – one more thing – I ordered whatever I felt like and when I went to pay I was given a discount based on the amount of food I ordered. Their point-of-sale system just gave me a discount as necessary. That felt good. Getting a discount without presenting a coupon/groupon is always nice!
Its offers diners a wonderful array of high quality, mouthwatering traditional Chinese dishes, cooked to order using only the freshest, handpicked ingredients selected from the markets daily.. Very authentic Northern east grill.
