Four group of friends and I went to this restaurant to have a lunch. I had a highly hope when I chose this #Malaysian restaurant for the farewell lunch of two friends who were going to move to their new nest in #newbrunswick It was quite disappointing for us who are pretty familiar with #malaysianfood as we all came from #Indonesia, the neighbourhood country. No nasi lemak on the menu. No strong taste of belachan (dried shrimp paste) in the stir fry kangkung (water spinach) and the #laksa tasted quite bland. Overall, we were thinking the taste of foods were adjusted to Canadian tastebuds.
I ordered here from skipthedishes I got the Indonesian spring rolls, it is filled with chicken and jimaca with outside covered in peanuts and fried, and the bak Kut teh, which is a beef ribs soup with mushrooms. The spring rolls were good just prefer the Thai and Vietnamese versions better the soup needed more ingredients was basically just beef broth with mushrooms and beef ribs needed some veg and or noodles. This is more preference than anything else nothing tasted bad just not my thing.
Everything was so flavourful in a distinct way. Our large group was kind of a mess ordering, but the staff continued to be so polite, kind, and friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone, especially large parties!
