Traditional bubble milk tea which is slightly different from the normal bubble tea that is served around the city. Seems like a lot of fruit flavour milk with tapioca balls is the standard for bubble tea….this latest Taiwanese style as now hit Edmonton with a bit more of an Asian flavour to it. The 2 standard items 2 girls or 3 guys on the menu which blends the traditional milk tea with an assortment of beans/jello/tapioca which you can order with more/less ice and more or less sugar for your taste buds. Worth a try….its pretty tasty. If the milk tea doesnt suit your taste there are still some fruit flavour slushes but when in Rome……
Pretty much the inferior Coco’s in the city. Ordered a taro slush and it was pretty much liquid. My drink didn’t supply that rich slushiness my body required for this Edmonton heat. Should’ve waited until I got downtown to their other location. Sal says: Just try it
Thank goodness I have a bubble tea place south side to go to that isn’t Dream tea. I’ve had at least half of the things off the menu (I know I’m addicted what can I say). The milk tea is consistently good, I tend to stay away from 3 guys just because it’s full of toppings and less tea. The yakult selection is good as are the regular teas. My current go to place until someone opens up a Chatime or Gongcha closer by.
Great accomodating staff, great bubble tea, nice and quick service as well. We’ve come to this location right before it was closing (or right at closing time) and they’ve always been nice to us. It’s not as busy as the downtown location so you can get your drink pretty fast. Just be careful with their promos! Sometimes it’s only applicable to the downtown location 🙂
This location is bigger than the CoCo downtown, but their drinks are definitely not as good. I’ve been here twice and was not completely satisfied with both visits. On my first visit, I had the brown sugar milk tea with sago (small pearls), and 3 guys. My first impression is the milk teas were not as strong as the downtown location. On my second visit, I had the hot salty cream matcha with pudding and 3 guys. The matcha was good like the downtown location in terms of the flavour, but the salty cream wasn’t as salty, the drink wasn’t as hot (the downtown one makes it almost boiling hot). Also, they put way less pudding in my drink. The 3 guys milk tea was exactly how it was on my first visit – not strong enough. Tasted a little watered down.As spacious and beautiful as it is here, I doubt I’d come here often because I rarely sit in to enjoy my drinks anyways.
Came by on a Sat night and enjoyed how it was a bit more spacious than the downtown location. Seemed like there was more seating. It seems less busy than downtown so its a great alternative if you’re on the south side. They also take the Vincitypoints program that works for other places like Gama and Chatime lotsofloving.wordpress.com
Overall, I prefer this Coco’s location to the one downtown. My friend and I decided to stop by on a cold snowy Friday evening to get our bubble tea fix and to try out the new south side location. We entered to a vibrant and bright Coco’s – significantly larger than the other one too. Enough seating for ~30-40 people. I got their matcha tea which was on sale for the month, and overall I enjoyed it. The place wasn’t too busy when I first ordered, but later when I was drinking with my friend the line became extremely busy. The place isn’t too accessible by transit either so the crowd is less. It leaves a more personalized feeling with you as you are in the place. Service wasn’t bad, fairly average (a significant improvement from Coco’s downtown). All in all, I will definitely be back. Recommended.
