Ah was so confused with a place to have Italian and ended up here with my friends ,Initiated with Salad and Breadsticks which were served Warm, the Nachos were really soggy, the worst part.Fettuccini Alfredo Pasta tasted real good but the sauce was so portioned that couldnt be enough with Penne. The mosst. Yummiest part was Tiramisu ..the visit was worth it.The server was really knowledgeable , will surely be dre again!!
If you like frozen microwave food then this is the place for you. Absolutley gross. Cant believe people still go to franchise resteraunts like olive garden.
Easy place to go for cheap lunch and crave pasta. There are obviously way better Italian restaurants in Edmonton but the fact that it’s chain and can get a nice salty bowl of tuscana soup at any OG is nice. Got the tuscana soup with chicken fettucine alfredo. Good portion, a bit on the salty side, very edible. Also had the tiramisu because it’s not bad here, not great, but the portion is huge. The eggplant pasta option apparently tasted ok but for me, I need meat in my pasta most times. Quick lunch service and even a taste of wine with every meal. Worth a shot if you’re craving Italian and have no other options nearby. Sal says: Just try it (3/5)
Another chain Italian restaurant. Entrees are served with unlimited bread sticks and soup or salad. We had salad. The breadsticks are served warm and are average at best. Chewy and no crunch. Salad is head lettuce , a few red onions and tomatoes with lots of croutons and sort of Italian dressing. Not your typical Italian salad. I ordered Gorgonzola steak with fettuccine Alfredo, again disappointing. Steak was to be rare, received well done instead. Fettuccini is overcooked with a flavorless cream like sauce that tastes of salt and nothing else. Gorgonzola is in a pile in the middle of the dish hidden under a tomato garnish( I think). Restaurant is loud, busy and does not have wifi access for its customers (really!). Staff are friendly and attentive, if only the food was the same quality as the service.
Great selection, taste, and ambience. Portions are generous. Easy to understand why they’re always so crowded, but in a good way. When they get too crowded though, wait times increase and service quality drops. Best experiences are during off peak hours.
Food really lacks flavour. We had to wait half an hour on a Tuesday to get in as well. There are way better places out there for the money you are paying.
As per many of my reviews of franchises…I’m never really sure what some people expect from such places. This is a good restaraunt for a larger group, or a family with hard to please kids. Bread sticks and salad are always welcome (be carefull not to fill up!). One of my son’s favorite places to go with his mom. I would not call it fine dinning. It is not. It is family friendly fare at a reasonable price point. If fine Italian is what you desire…try Vialino’s.
