Cannibale is one of our favourite neighbourhood stops! Amazing cocktails and delicious food, plus an excellent patio. We can’t recommend it enough.
The patio is so cute and the reason why we ventured to Cannibale. However we were so disappointed. We sat on the patio and never got service so we moved inside. It wasn’t busy at all. The server completely ignored us as she watched us walk in and sit for 10 minutes… she just stood at the bar talking. Did not seem happy to be there or to be serving us. We ordered drinks which were actually really good… but the cold environment and service didn’t make either of us want to go back.
This place is pretty cool. We came here on New Year’s Eve and had a lot of fun. They brought around different food to try and complimentary champagne at midnight! As a hair stylist it was so neat to see the small barber shop in this place. Really chill environment and the food was really good.
Love this spot, especially during the summer on the patio! Cool building, yummy food to share and fun drinks (they’re a bit pricey though).
It’s hard to express how much I love this place. It has such a great vibe (I hate to use that phrase but nothing else works). I’ve sat both inside on rainy/cold days and outside on the patio when weather permits – I absolutely love it. The patio is smallish but perfect. It’s one of those places where you don’t care how close you are to the other guests. It’s really that kind of place. The food is great – the warm olives and the sourdough pretzel are to DIE FOR. I always get Hendricks Gin Martinis and apart from their consistently being a perfect martini, they serve them in these fantastic retro glasses. Their wine list is great and their cocktail menu is extensive – you WILL find something you love. Yes they can get a tad pricey but this place is worth it. The service is great too. You never feel pressured to order more or to leave. They must treat their staff really well because I’ve yet to come across a single server or bartender who doesn’t appear to enjoy being there as much as their clients do.
For my wife and myself, Cannibale is an indispensable date-night staple. Whether as our launching point for the weekend or as ‘dessert’ after dinner in Bridgeland, we find ourselves here several times each month – even shooting part of our engagement photos on the premises. Aside from the occasional surly bartender, the staff are friendly and accommodating and the drinks are always on point. As long as you view Cannibale as a cocktail bar first and an excellent place for snacks/small meals second, it will never disappoint. PS. The Barber Shop is equally great.
I like this spot, it has a cool vibe. It’s an historic building–you can even get your hair cut. I agree that it’s more of a specialty cocktail bar, at $12 a pop. But it’s good and the carpaccio is to die for. With lots of food options all around. You come here, have an appy and then move on.
