Went for lunch today at china rose, pretty good selection and the food came out pretty hot at 12 noon. Almost everything was pretty good except some of the veggies tasted a bit too salty. Service was good I’ll be back for the good selection.
Hands down the best Chinese food in Calgary! We drive from Airdrie to come here! The buffet is always well stocked and hot and the food is delicious! You have got to try here!
Terrible. We were here for my grandma’s birthday last night and booked a room for a private party for a large group. Restaurant was cluttered and dirty. Chairs had stains on them. Buffet selection was pretty sad. They had 2 fried rice dishes, 2 noodles and most of everything else was breaded and deep fried. The only flavourful dishes were the fried chicken wings and salt & pepper peel your own shrimp. The rest were gross and most of the food looked and tasted like they were sitting there for awhile. During the party the fire alarm went off but no fire trucks came. Our party ended up leaving early as everyone was too cold to wait outside for the alarms to be turned off. We got no apologies or even any explanation about the alarm which was really annoying. Early this morning, my toddler vomited and complained of a stomach ache. She had lots of the cold shrimp dish as shrimp is her favourite. I’m pretty sure she got food poisoning from it. Avoid this place like the plague. If you want decent Chinese in the area, go to Pebble Street at T&T or Gong Kee. China Rose is terrible and we will never ever be back.
Love this restaurant! Best choice by far for Chinese food!I usually come for lunch, the food is always hot, fresh and delicious with no MSG. There are more items in the buffet than you can sample in one visit, seafood, beef, pork, chicken, veggies, soups, sushi …..There are always new selections along with my favorites like the Cantonese chow mein, shrimp in black bean sauce,lemon chicken and spring rolls.My family and I also frequent for celebratory and special occasion dinners and the evening buffet is even more impressive, love the snow crab legs.I can always count on finishing off with green tea or mango ice cream.Great staff, great value, you gotta try it!
Came here with my boyfriend for supper, the buffet was very good! Good place for Chinese, I’d say. The hot honey chicken balls were interesting.
The food was pretty decent. Just came here for a company dinner and so we got individual dishes instead of the buffet. I found that their dishes are a bit on the salty side. But regardless, the service we got was amazing. Their sesame balls filled with a red bean paste are really tasty !
Amazing Chinese food, lived in delivery area for a year and had it so many times! Was always fresh and hot! There noodles an beef were amazing! Love the hot and sour soup! Tasty and large chicken wings! Awesome BBQ pork and tasty friend rice!
