So Sad. Just came to urban for a phone number to make a reso at LDV and I find out they are now closed… I called and they only do private functions. I want to cry.

C’mon …..the food is Exquiste!. Even in light of the negative reviews….I do think anyone who has visited this restaurant and experienced the quality of food would have a hard time coming up with negative critique. I have been eating here for over 10 years and cannot think of a bad meal. As for the pricing…the chef….the long meal….hey, if you want the true Italian experience …..here it is. It’s old school, people? It’s a sit-down, let-the-chef cook for you 5+ course experience – it’s going to put a bigger dent than the Olive Garden!!! But let’s get real – this is a 4 to 5 star restaurant – that comes with a price tag. When the food simply melts in your mouth in a state of ecstasy…….. who really cares if is was $20 more than you expected? I would go back – and frequently do – and would recommend all to experience a ‘lil taste of Italy

Wow!. Tasting menu ($80) only available fri sat evening, as the owner is semi retired. Very friendly staff (most are family members that run the restaurant). Excellent food and service. Pizza bar on the 2nd floor offers similar appetizers as dining room for people who doesn’t want to go with the tasting menu option

Good but very expensive and no menu!. If money is no concern than you should go for the experience. But beware that there is NO MENU. The chef comes out and gives three options for the main (that day it was salmon, pickerel or veal) saying the dishes are about $70 to $80 dollars each. My fiance and I both chose the pickerel and were charged $80. I was a little surprised that the pickerel was that much…I would’ve thought the veal would’ve been the most expensive, but perhaps he would’ve charged the highest price, regardless of what we chose. It’s a five course meal that takes at least two hours to go through so don’t go if you’re on any time constraint.Overall the food was fresh tasting but some of the dishes lacked flavour (except for salt….some dishes were SO salty). The service and atmosphere were good and they were friendly but I think that the food was overpriced. You can go down the street to several other authentic Italian restaurants that have more flavourful food for a cheaper price.

Delicious, Slow food. I loved the food – The chef came to the table in real italian gusto – he gave us choice of a few mains – then we were served a set of different Italian dishes in smaller portions. it was really ‘slow food’ and excellent quality – the beef tenderloin was incredible and all the pastas were awesome. the waitress told me that the chef/owner grows some of the herbs and vegetables in his own greenhouse and garden and it tasted that fresh. Go with an empty stomach and lots of time to enjoy the experience. Not a good place for a quick meal!

Great Food. Had my 53rd birthday there and it was one of the best meals I have had. Yes it takes 2 1/2 hrs to go through but it is well worth it. Meet the chef before your meal. Would recommend to anyone, wanting a unique wonderful meal.9 courses came true old Italian style – wonderfullThanks for a great Brithday.

Terrible food and terrible service….the worst ravioli I have ever had. It tasted like dry tree bark. Almost a half hour wait between your minuscule portions, so don’t go if you don’t have much time to waste. Expect to spend at least 2 and a half hours for your meal. I didn’t like how you were left guessing on how much your bill was going to be. By the way…it’s not a la carte it is chefs taste menu, that is your only option so be prepared, I was caught completely off guard and was not impressed. All in all, I will never come back. Truly disappointed I was expecting so much better.
