I used to work with Chef Cam a few years ago at a different restaurant. I am really proud of what she’s accomplishd while running this restaurant. The food is always fresh and great. I highly recommend stopping by to try her take on Vietnamese dishes. She’s a great person cooking delicious food.
What an amazing little restaurant! I have been to many different Vietnamese restaurants, but this is the first one that made me stop and say wow. The food was so fresh, and the meat was super tasty. The portion size was perfect. I love this place!
I can’t say enough good things about Rau. From the lovely staff to the incredibly fresh food, you know you’re in for a fabulous meal. I’ve tried the vegan noodle soup and the vegan bn and both were fantastic – generous portions, perfectly seasoned, and really fresh. Definitely stop by this adorable little bistro – you won’t be disappointed!
Rau Bistro is awesome. The menu is a lot different from other Vietnamese places. I usually go for an order of the fantastic rice paper spring rolls and one or their salad bowls (chili mango beef or green papaya) or a bahn mi with pork and pineapple. Amazing! Cant wait to try more of the menu.
My go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary. Everything is always fresh and crisp. Delicious food, no msg, timely service. The restaurant interior isn’t anything special but the food more than makes up for it.
The restaurant it self it clean and the staff is very friendly and efficient. We ordered the Sub3 (Bahn Mi with chicken and pineapple). The fresh homemade bun was very good, but I was missing the pickling on the carrots and cucumber. We also go the spring rolls with lettuce, these were different than most Vietnamese restaurants we’ve been to, rice paper roll and slightly different ingredients inside, we enjoyed these. We also got V3 vermicelli with seafood and pineapple. There wasn’t a lot of pineapple but the seafood was cooked perfectly (including the squid) and the grilled flavour really came through. For a drink we tried the salty lemon blueberry, if you like salty dehydrated lemon rind you’re love this salty sweet drink, but it’s for sure an acquired taste. We’d go again but wouldn’t get the bahn mi.
Great place to eat. No msg. From the first slirp of noodle to the last it’s so damn good. One of the few trying to make a difference on the Vietnamese scene.
