After 3 consistently perfect meals at Chef’s Studio Japan I can easily say they offer the best sushi I’ve ever had and probably ever will have. The fish is amazingly fresh, delicious, and perfectly cut. The atmosphere is very cosy and welcoming and the staff are very friendly. I can’t say enough about the amazing quality of the food (and beverages) offered here and despite the amazing quality of everything, the wait to receive my order was unbelievably fast. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.
It’s the best Japanese restaurant ever! The food’s tasty and looks attractive. The fish cut is accurately perfect. I can figure out how is prepared such magnificent food.
Good sushi choice for Canmore – relatively kid friendly as well. The sushi rolls are well-prepared although I’ve noticed perhaps a bit of a change to one of my erstwhile faves (shrimp cocktail roll). My daughters enjoy the chicken teriyaki. But we will probably try one of the others in town next time we get a case of the sushis….
Looking for some stellar sushi? Look no further! Chef’s Studio is a small spot with some of the best sushi rice out there. I’m usually a sushi fiend that loves the bells and whistles of the special rolls; but you know a place is good when you gravitate to the avocado cucumber roll and sashimi. The soft shell crab was well seasoned, and I’m more fond of thinner beef tataki, but seriously. The rice. Delish! Perfection in the simple at this joint. Presentation was beautiful, though service was a little slow – this worked well for me who likes long, slow meals sipping green tea and chatting with a companion. Cosy ambiance and a beautiful view of the mountains while you dine. A great date night spot!
Enjoyable experience , local customer. I have been eating at Chef’s studio restaurant for a few years now , even thought sometimes the service is slow due to many variables , the food is pretty good , and it pains me to see reviewers giving first world issues , over price ? Yes but then where is this restaurant located ? In one of the most expensive town to live in were the rent is through the roof , plus the fish has to been flown in so that’s not cheap either , my point is if you are price sensitive for a high end food quality then I would suggest to stick to Boston pizza or go buy the Sushi that Safeway sells in plastic containers and see the differences .you want Sushi in the middle of the mountain ? Pay for it .
Over priced.. Our family stopped into Chef ‘s Studio Japan for dinner. We found the the menu small and over priced. We had ordered some sushi and beef tataki and Udon noddle soup. We noticed the Udon was $18.00 for a set dinner, but decided to try it out based on the reviews the restaurant got .The dinner included Udon noddles and a side of vegetable tempura. When the dinner came out we we’re dissatisfied with the portion size of the noddles and Tempura, not to mention it was all vegetables. Over all the food was just average. I would not recommend it anybody.
