While the atmosphere and waitresses were really great, we were very underwhelmed but the gluten free strawberry waffles. The menu stated that it would have whipped cream, and fresh strawberries. It had a little whipped cream and one strawberry. And, the gluten free waffles were store bought Eggos. As my husband and I are both gluten free, we are always excited when we see new items on menus to try, but this was very disappointing. For a $16 meal, we could have bought 3 boxes of the same waffles in a grocery store.
I am very sadden to give this place a low rating as I have heard and read so many great things about this place. The reason for my low rating was the service, after ordering my food, it was a 40 minute wait for the food to come out with no check ups at all. When the food came, it was not bad, filling, but I do not believe it was their best. The fruits that came with the meal were dry and sour. My matcha smoothie was heavily watered down and was very lumpy with large pieces of ice. For now… I will give them the benefit of the doubt and may try again if I am in Canmore.
