Came here hoping to enjoy a nice meal here before hitting the town as part of a Bachelorette weekend with a small group of girls. The restaurant is very nice, great views and nicely set up room overall. The staff are very friendly, they were very welcoming of our party, and made the bride feel very special – especially when the manager gifted her with a beverage from the staff. The rest was… underwhelming. Our server was very friendly, but rather inattentive. A few of us decided to split a bottle of wine, but once our glasses had been filled, she wouldn’t leave it on the table, but instead placed it on a counter in the middle of the room and said she would bring it by to refill as needed. Well, that would have been great, except she never did that – so we eventually had to get up and get it ourselves, which just seemed unnecessary, not sure what the reasoning there is. The food was, it was just ok, which was disappointing considering we were really looking forward to a great meal. Two girls ordered flatbread pizza’s, which seemed to be the least popular of our meals – dry and cold by the time they came to our table. Another had one of the pasta bowls, which was decent, but fairly bland overall. The bride’s meal was the favourite by far, seared ahi tuna, it was delicious. I personally had the curry, which I added seared scallops to. Sadly, the scallops were missed off my order… not a huge deal, I did still want them, so they were brought out separately (I was not charged for them, so that was a nice touch). The curry was ok, it was very very mild and the rice was very overcooked, but had decent flavour – I doubt I would order it again though. Overall, it was not a negative experience per say, I think we were just hoping for more. Would not go out of my way to return here, there are so many options in Canmore to pick from.
Was greeted promptly on arrival with a smile. We had our order taken right away. Very fast and friendly service. Our server was very attentive. We tried the burger and the lam spaghetti. The spaghetti was not my favourite dish in the world. It could have used a bit more flavour but over all a good meal and price. Great view of the mountains! I would come back.
This place gets points for its made-for-the-mountains interior and respectable food. I can highly recommend as a place for some appies (I always crave the lamb meatballs) and a bottle of wine with you sweetheart and even more so when it’s cold and snowy out and you’ve scored a good window-gazing spot. I was disappointed that they ran out of one of the feature wines on my most recent visit although that’s to be expected sometimes. And my entrees here are batting about .800 – over about a dozen or more visits. Most recently we were in to try the hummus and the prawn appies – not disappointed.
Tasty shrimp appetizer. Basic and unexciting spinach salad. Badly overcooked and dried out BBQ half chicken main course – quite awful in fact. Good service. In a sentence: High prices for disappointing food.
Not bad at all . Roomy and interesting building .The food was all right and the waiter friendly and helpful .Clean restaurant . The food was tasty but the sizes of the portion were less than I was expecting .
Service at this restaurant was awesome. Our server was attentive and present without being being overbearing. Very cute and my whole family enjoyed his service. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful with a great location and stunning views of the mountains. Enjoyed our drinks- the locally brewed soda is a great touch! Food was mediocre, avocado on my salad wasn’t fresh and the salmon I added to my Cobb salad was very small, over-cooked and did not taste fresh either. I suppose I shouldn’t expect great seafood in Alberta but with so many seafood options on their menu I was definitely expecting the fish to be cooked well. The steaks and burgers looked better and I will do red meat if I am ever back there.
Ordered the chorizo pizza, it was one of the worst pizzas I have had in a long time. No sauce, unmelted cheese, generic crust, very little toppings.
