Amazing bagels, great fillings. We had the Parmozza bagel and the marble rye, both were fantastic! So hard just to have one! Will definitely be back next time we’re in Canmore.

I am not a bagel person, so the first time I went there for breakfast I ordered a carrot, ginger and coconut soup, which was amazing and kept me full for the whole morning (doesn’t happen often). However, my whole family went for the bagels and they were so happy about them that the next day I decided to give them a try. And yes, they were different from all the bagels I have tried in the U.S. – lighter, tinier, tastier. We ordered plain bagels only (both regular and gluten free). The breakfast bagels with egg, bacon and cheese were delicious and good value for money. The bagel with cream cheese was good too but I don’t think it is worth what they charge for it. Coffee was the best we had the whole vacation. We also tried the yogurt parfait with homemade granola, almonds and berries and the power balls (gluten free, with dates, coconut, cocoa) – both delicious! The room was okay, nice music although too dark. It is way better to seat outside and have a feel of the mountains around. The line can get pretty big.

I just can’t drink the kool-aid – this in my opinion is a much overrated sandwich shop that, while serving great coffee, needs to redesign its layout a bit. I mean if you just want to get your coffee on you have to line up behind a dozen sandwich smackers to get at it. It serves delicious bagel sandies but yesterday I spent $7.50 for an egg/cheese/bacon multi-grain bagel? And it’s perennially loud with a big crowd. I would skip this place (both locations) in favour of Mountain Mercato, Harvest or Le Fournil if you’re after a good sandwich in a pleasant environment and if you’re just after the coffee you’re better off at Beamer’s or Good Earth.
