North of Canmore lies a beautiful golf course with this restaurant in it. Definitely has a million dollar view of the 18th hole. It was Nice and quiet which makes for a romantic evening. The steaks we ordered came out flawlessly. The sides we ordered ( double baked patato, garlic fries) were immaculate. Then came dessert which looks and tastes like it came from a 5 star restaurant. Wait… It is a 5 star restaurant. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable of the food and golf course! I can’t wait for my next vacation to eat here again

The food was exquisite and the house even took care of our wine bottle because we were celebrating a birthday. The service was efficient and friendly. We will definitely return.
Less than impressive dining experience. During our stay in Canmore in August 2014, we chose Rustica for an upscale meal. However, Rustica did not live up to our expectations and we were disappointed. The steak that I ordered as medium was so chewy that I was unable to eat more than half. For a cut that was priced at 44 dollars, it was not worth it. We found our meal to be overpriced and disappointing.On a positive note, Rustica Steakhouse showcases breath-taking views of the Silvertip Golf Resort.
Server was incredibly stuck up. As for the steak; ordered medium-rare, and received a well seasoned, but very chewy slab of meat. Disappointing for the price. As for the truffled fries; these are a must. Literally the best $7 dollars you can spend here. Asparagus was also well worth it. In closing; the sides were fantastic, but when you go to a steakhouse, you’d think the steak would stand out. Disappointed. Would not go back based on quality and price.
Outstanding. We happened to be staying in Canmore when the Rustica was offering the $99 date night special. What a great deal! The Rustica is located in a beautiful rustic building with large windows that allow you to take in those breathtaking Rocky Mountains. The Date Night package includes a bottle of wine, and a starter, main and dessert each. We started with the slider trio and crab cake. The sliders were really tasty samples of prime ground beef and elk with different garnishes (fois gras, stilton, etc) and the crab cake was a nice balance of flavors and textures, which included pickled slaw, citrus and roasted corn aioli. Mains were the rack of lamb for my man, which was cooked and seasoned beautifully, and the 5 oz petit filet for me. I was a little disappointed at the size of the filet, it was not much bigger than a golf ball and presented with a waffle chip on top. That’s it. I asked for more bread. But it was cooked well and seasoned to my liking. Our sides were Brussels sprouts with brown butter and pancetta (delicious) and broccoli and stilton au gratin, which was overcooked and watery. The server quickly replaced it with another side of Brussels sprouts. Our desserts, chocolate cheesecake and white chocolate raspberry brulee were exquisite. Our server was lovely and very attentive; she was attentive and our wine glasses never went empty. All in all a 9/10 experience.
Date Night. Decided to do date night at the Rustica…. Excellent meal at an excellent price !!! Definitely will be back this winter during our ski weekends. We just hope not to have Jeff as our server.
My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. We love our experience there. My husband holds the steak we had there as the bar which he measures all other steaks against now – nothing has surpassed it yet! Our waiter was fantastic, and I’m not sure of its because he knew we were honeymooning or if it was standard service. Even suggested we go for a walk around the gold course before we had our dessert. So far it’s my favourite dinning experience!
