Full disclosure – every time we do a hike or bike, we go to the Grizzly Paw because it’s our favorite the food is great and price is reasonable. However, this weekend we went out of our comfort zone and tried The Tavern. Now, we think it’s our new go-to after a hike. Unlike the Grizzly Paw, it’s quiet, more quaint and the food is amazing. We both had tacos my wife had jerk chicken and I had the fish and it was one of the best fish tacos Ive had recently. It was cod pan fried, not deep fried and was cooked to perfection. I told the waitress the grilled flour taco shell (the grilling was a nice touch) and toppings went well with the fish but that the fish was so good, I would have ordered just a couple fillets on its own if it were offered. All in all, a nice patio, cozy inside, great service and excellent food.
