I have been having trouble finding a place to eat out with my dietary issues. Waiter was pleasent at first. After explaining to him my situation, allergies, and requesting a vegan meal, I was not taken seriously and basically laughed at. There was no real follow up. Was ignored for the rest of my time there. My ‘vegan’ salad had 1/2 of an egg in it. And my food was clearly contaminated with my allergen. From where I was sitting I could see into the kitchen. It looked dirty. No hats or hair nets on the cooks. Aprons folded in half with regular t-shirts on top. The cooks were looking at me and laughing when my waiter went back there. And I ended up stuck in bed for 10 hours and in pain the next day. This place does not care about you. They make enough money off tourists not care about locals/regulars. No apologies for the egg. Waiter quickly grabbed the food and left. Service was great then went to one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Rushed out the door, when I went there to show a tourist the atmosphere. If you are concerned about a non-contaminated or vegetarian meal, this is the last place you want to go. I also have 12 years cooking experience and 5 of those as a Sous or manager. Was once my favourite place in town. I will not go back, even for the overpriced, homemade soda.
The service here has always been awesome. I had the burger special (pork burger) and it was very flavourful. I love coming to this restaurant whenever I am in town because it has never disappointed me.
We came here for lunch cause i have been a fan of their craft beers and sodas. So when i heard they opened a pub i had to try it. The pub was busy with tourists and locals, most sitting in the patio. We managed to get a table inside and we ordered their famous craft soda mocktails, Julius (orange cream & milk) and Category One (ginger beer with honey reduction & lime) which were We then ordered Ahi Tuna Tacos, Lyonnaise Caesar and a Po’ Boy (IPA beer battered haddock with capers) The Ahi Tuna was great served with herb slaw which gave it a nice crunch and texture, the Po’ Boy was good crispy and the haddock was done perfectly and the tartar sauce was great! The disappointing entree was the Lyonnaise Caesar the salad was a very small portion for what you pay for $16 for a small salad with some spring mix with some potato chips and some bacon (check photo) it lacked dressing and was meh! Avoid the salads for the value its the most expensive salad or lack of. It lost a star due to the salad. That was truly disappointing. The service was great and love the atmosphere.
I was really disappointed with our dinner. In the past this has been one of our favourite places, but the prices continually increase(to be expected) but the food quality seems to continually decline. We couldn’t finish our drinks, food was subpar, and the service was horrible- we saw our server three times total throughout the evening. This place used to be amazing, but I definitely won’t be back anytime soon
I was a little disappointed, I love my beer and nothing here really stood out as exceptional to me. the food was only ok and again didnt blow me out of the water.
Very disappointed in this place. The auto gratuity is a joke. Our server Madison treated us like it was expected. Macaroni was terrible and she had no sympathy for it. The Cesar salad had dirty lettuce. Was previously here in the past and it was great, this experience was very different. Very disappointed. Only thing that was good was the beer.
I’m giving it a one only because of the beer, the food and service sucked!! Never coming back! Management doesn’t care about this awful experience too bad it ruined my day
