Nice lunch with friends. Excellent service. Quirky atmosphere which I like. I had the roasted chicken sandwich (BCF ?). Which had a great mix of flavors with a bit of spice on a wonderfuly fresh bun.
Fun and warm decor/ambience and very friendly staff who seem to enjoy being there. The food was so tasty, we especially loved the confit duck wings which were recommended to us. Would absolutely go there again!
We really enjoyed ourselves when we stopped in here Saturday for a quick lunch before heading to the Brewery Tour at the Grizzly Paw. The menu is limited but suited us well – 5 of us ordered several plates to share. The cocktail menu is very interesting, albeit pricey. The cocktails are made and presented well & the staff were wonderful – while I don’t think I would spend an afternoon or evening there drinking, it was a really nice treat for a great little lunch pit stop.
So glad I convinced my cousin to try this place out instead of the safe bet, Grizzly Paw, next door. The place was packed when we arrived but our soon to be dining-predecessors (who were Canmore locals, by the way) highly recommended we stay and take their table as they were on their way out.We each had a glass pour and shared the tater tots. The TTs were nothing to write home about, but for $6, who cares. It was food to accompany our stellar wines. The place is small and quaint, extremely well decorated, with excellent music, and even better service (thanks, Veronica). You really feel like you’re part of the family/team – the overall vibe is cozy, like home. We couldn’t go home without trying one more dish, so we opted for their scotch egg. DELECTABLE. Wrapped in prosciutto, spolumbos sausage, then breaded, fried, and served atop house made Dijon aioli. Super rich yet oh so satisfying. It was $7, and worth it. We’ve already made resos for tomorrow.
This was the best meal I have had in a long time. Everything on the menu is inventive and unique, and our meal was perfectly executed and delicious. Our server was wonderful, and was even able to tell us where we couldbuy the wine we had with dinner.I was especially impressed as our server advised that they had just rolled out their new menu that day. Usually there are some kinks to work out but everything was wonderful and came out in a timely manner. The new menu is not on their website yet so I’m not sure of the names of the dishes. The menu is designed to be shared, which is my favourite way to eat, so we had asalad with goat cheese, beets, and nuts, spicy tequila shrimp with a blue cheese dipping sauce, and a scotch egg. I started dinner with a caesar, which was dressed with sausage, cheese, and pickle on a skewer, and followed up with the Gruen Riesling. The bill came to around $60, which I think is very reasonable.I wish theis restaurant was in Edmonton! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Canmore.
Stopped by for lunch on the way home. This place was previously O bistro. I didn’t realize it changed until I got to the restaurant. The menu is small but the food was really good. This is mainly a wine cocktails and tapas place. I enjoyed my lunch and I would definitely be interested in check this place out for dinner sometime.
Canmore’ best kept secret. This new place has delicious cocktails and a small but very appetizing menu. All of the food items we have ordered have been outstanding. The funky decor is a nice change. The location is central on Main but it is easy to walk right by. They need better signage. While sipping my Rob Roy cocktail I watched numerous people try to figure out what this place was and keep walking.
