Excellent food, great service and a nice atmosphere. I really like the local vibe and the nice staff. Their pasta is always great as well as the appetizers. Not a ton of Italian restaurants in the south and this place is quite good! I definitely recommend it! 🙂

It is very rare that my friends accuse me of gushing over a restaurant – in fact, I can’t recall last doing so, but that was the case with Piccola Napoli. This restaurant is tucked away in a location that you would likely miss just driving by on Macleod Trail. The ambience is exactly what you would expect from a fine Italian restaurant with the appropriate mood music, table cloths and seating. The noise level on this Friday evening was low, making for pleasant conversation and a relaxing atmosphere. Service was well above par. A pair of staff served us and the gentleman was so knowledgeable that when one of our party struggled with the pronunciation of a menu item, he voiced it without so much as a full syllable uttered. All the while the staff put us at ease, kept our table well supplied and made us feel completely comfortable. But the food. Oh the food! I had what is for me the best veal dish I’ve ever had – the veal Francesca. This dish has a different, somewhat sweet tasting sauce, but oh so good. I’ll have to try a veal Marsala or another dish in the future to test whether they are equally as good. The vegetables are served ‘al dente’ and nicely seasoned. They weren’t just boiled and dumped on the plate. The side rigatoni pasta had a wonderful tomato sauce and begged me to come back for another pasta meal. My friends were impressed with their dishes as well. The medaglioni were large and well seasoned. The Pollo Con Funghi also looked appealing.Finished with the mains – the above average food and service didn’t stop there. Coffee and Cappuccino were excellent as was the Tiramisu. All this: wonderful service, wonderful ambience, wonderful food -was had at a reasonable price for such an above-the-line restaurant.I have a new favourite.

The service was superb at this place, the gentleman serving our table was so kind. The atmosphere is nice and quite. The bread was absolutely amazing and the bocconcini fritti was to die for. We want to go again and just dine with that bread and that appetizer, soooo good. I had ordered the seafood soup as an appetizer too but the portion was big enough that it almost could have been my main entre. It was super good like made by a Nonna. We were not impressed with the main entres though, the carbonara pasta was good but we think we have tried better. The fettuccine con Salmone was too watery but the flavour was very good. The Cesar salad you could tell it was very fresh with high quality ingredients but we missed the bacon in it (I think it was only in the dressing). For dessert my husband had tiramisu and I had the tartufo and I loved it. The hazelnut gelato was perfect. Both portions were huge.

My mom really likes coming here so when we can, we take her here. I usually end up getting the fettuccine Alfredo which Is excellent from here. I like that they use the spinach noodles and that it has a touch of sweetness to it. The atmosphere is nice and the wait staff are all incredibly friendly. bruschetta is good too

One of the better Italian places I have been to. The service is always top notch and the food is even better. Their stracciatella soup is an excellent starter and you can not go wrong with any entree. Make sure to finish your meal with a slice of their tiramisu and/or a scoop of spumone. Delicious!
