Excellent Customer Service & Great Pies!. As a Recreation Coordinator at a retirement community, I get many suggestions for trips from residents. One of the residents suggested the Pies Plus Cafe, so ten of us made a trip there last month. First of all, the customer service was excellent. As some of you might know, when a group of seniors walk in to a smallish cafe/restaurant, they often aren’t made to feel very welcome. Staff often are not patient with seniors, and often act as if it is a chore to serve them – this is why I was so impressed with the customer service at Pies Plus. Every single resident was treated with respect, courtesy, genuine friendliness. Every single resident was very happy with their pie/cake and the home-brewed coffee, and all requested that we return! A staff member even returned to clear plates as soon as they were finished and asked each person if they enjoyed their pie and coffee. It was a great experience, and personally I loved the charm and character of this small cafe. We will definitely be back!
Mediocre Pie. Flavorless, bland, soggy crust paired with flavorless filling. The slice itself looks like it could be from a frozen pie instead of freshly baked. Very disappointed by the strawberry and peach pie, especially considering the cost per slice. I will definitely not be back.
A cute little hole in the wall. My boyfriend and I came across this diner accidentally. I wouldn’t say it’s top notch food, frozen and reheated type of things. Worth checking out, it’s always busy when we stop by.
Overpriced. Not as sweet a…. Overpriced. Not as sweet as you would expect, more bland. It’s too bad I had high hopes for the dessert pies here.
Ordered a pie and the chocolate cake. The pie was okay. Nothing special. The cake was disgusting. Horrible flavour and texture. Way expensive. Not worth it. Have had better pie from the grocery store. Never again.
Best beef stew. The beef stew is really good here especially on a cold day ! this place is cozy and is very friendly atmosphere.
Wonderful pies!!!. We love ordering whole pies from Pies Plus and enjoying them at home. The fresh ingredients make all the difference in taste.Occasionally we stop by for lunch at the cafe and find the atmosphere very relaxing. The staff are friendly and the food has always been great.Definitely would recommend this place.
