Looks like a mom and pop shop. We decided to get kyd a snack. The regular donair was 6.50. Veggies were fresh and the owner was quite friendly. His regular patron was getting a full family meal and the owner said the kids donair was on him. That’s definitely a family business showing another family some love. We didn’t want to get into sauce on the side vs side sauce so we took it as is. Our donair had kyds stamp of approval. We would have liked to see it bigger for almost $7. Nice clean shop.
Been coming here for years, always defended it as one of the better donair shops in town… not anymore.Get up to the counter and every single topping looks like it’s been sitting out for a week. I ask the girl what the deal is with how terrible everything looks, cause I’ve never seen it like that. Recession issues? Did someone not refrigerate everything after their shift? Zero response… figures I’d try again with the cashier, she claim everything was fresh that morning! Really?! Fresh from the fridge where it spent the last 4 weeks… maybe. But when your whole bin of lettuce is yellow/brown and even the pickled jalapeos are wilting… yeah, that’s not fresh. I asked if this was going to be the new norm, as it wasn’t nearly this bad any other time I’ve been here. Even at 3am, all she had to say was it was fresh and I was the only one all day to complain… like I’m at fault, yeah okay…

Very good donairs! The restaurant itself caters mostly to take-out but there’s a few tables in a simple room. We had a coupon for 2 super donairs, fries and rings for $20.00. Great deal. All was good. They have a few extra items as well but we didn’t have room for any baklava or other treats. The prep staff took extra care, heating the meat and toasting the pita. All the usual fixings including olives, pickled beets, banana peppers and jalapenos are there to choose from and they will add cheese if you wish.All-in-all – Pretty darn tasty!
Best shawarma and Donair in town hands down. The mixed beef and chicken is by far my favourite. Great customer service. ………………………
This is my favorite donair place in the city hands down. Their beef donair and chicken shawarma are both excellent. Their veggies are always fresh and I love the white cheese you can put on your donair. The sweet sauce is excellent and their tzatziki tastes heavily of dill which I love. I’m not a fan of tahini so never get it regardless of where I go. Their baklavas are also very good. Wish we didn’t live so far away now as this place is a staple in Canyon Meadows.
