What a waste!. Please do yourself a favour and DO NOT eat at this place..I could have written a lengthy review, but why waste time at this junkyard as this place pretty much defines what a restaurant SHOULD NOT BE. I will give 0 star (if allowed) on all counts1. Food Quality2. Service (Or absolute lack of)3. General Hygine
Last week I was there in north east decided to go for a lunch buffet. The buffet cart was in not in good shape the food was all dried up and the the presentation fo the food was very very poor and the price they advertised on flyers are not the same they charged so I will recommend not to go there.
Beware the buffet. The flavors of the buffet items are not in dispute. As is the case with most forms of Indian cuisine, the flavors are intense and present. The ingredients used on the other hand are of dubious quality. The meat in both the butter chicken and curry beef was dry and almost leather like. A vegetarian chili, while having intense flavor, had mush-like discolored vegetables. The same complaints with the meats and vegetables can also be applied to the other buffet items, save the battered fried potato slices I had there. The sweets section comprised of two items, both of which are actually pretty good. Both flavor and texture are present and more then accounted for. Hopefully the items on the menu are much better, but as the title says beware the buffet.
The decor could be improved but the food is delicious, I’ve been here several times with my mom and it’s always a pleasure to eat there, especially their butter chicken and goat. Their service and dessert choices can also be improved. If you just want to have a quick Indian food for lunch, this is the way to go!
Awesome Food!. Excellent food, the decor is a touch simplistic but the food is excellent and well priced! The staff could be a touch friendlier. And it was a touch odd that they served their chai in Styrofoam cups. When I asked for a ceramic one they seemed to think it was odd. I don’t like to drink out of Styrofoam if I can help it and one would’ve thought that others had felt the same and that the restaurant manager would’ve known that but I guess I was the first. It’s quick and casual and good food.
Never going to this restaurant again. My family and I decided to buy samosas from this restaurant. We called in ahead of time thinking that by the time we will get there our order will be ready. We called and made an order for 20 veggie samosas. The lady said it will be about twenty minutes to get them ready.I said ok and it took us about half an hour since we were busy shopping…without realizing the time. When we noticed the time we quickly finished shopping and decided to go get our samosas since it has been 10 minutes since they have been ready. My dad told me to go inside and get the samosas. When I entered the restaurant it was empty and no one came out for like ten minutes. As soon as the girl came out she didn’t smile and neither did she say hello. When I told her about my order she said it will be another ten to fifteen minutes. I was soo angry. The service was pathetic of this restaurant and time was wasted standing there for ten fifteen minutes even though we called in our order. You tell me what person would want to go this restaurant if the people who own it or work there don’t want to even attend their customers.
Worst Service Ever!. My boyfriend and I decided to do take out from this place because it was close by and told the prices were affordable. However, after experiencing the service (or rather, lack of) we both agreed that it is wiser to just fork up the extra buck or two. When we walked into the restaurant (which was EMPTY) we were not welcomed for a good 5 minutes. The door to the kitchen was wide open with a woman in clear view, she did absolutely nothing to help us. A younger girl finally attended to us but with much dismay. She did not once crack a smile… instead she rushed our order, took our money and ran to the back. When we returned (15 mins later) to pick up our order, we waited an additional 10 mins before someone acknowledged us. The young girl did not apologize for any wait, nor did she even pretend to look happy. All in all, the food was mediocre (quantity was less than expected, but worth the money as you get a choice of free rice or naan with each entree) but the poor service made it all too hard to stomach. If you want good service and good food try SURYA!
