I think I finally found a place where the shawarma is pretty close to how it is made in the Middle East. I always order the chicken shawarma plate and the meat is really juicy & tender! I say this because in most other Middle Eastern restaurants in Calgary, I always thought that the food lacked something – the Middle Eastern factor or whatever you want to call it. Service is good and price is reasonable.
I love this place! This is definitely one of my top 3 favourite shawarmas in Calgary. I usually get the chicken, and it’s super delicious. The service is pretty good too, every time i’ve been there the staff were friendly and fast. You also get a lot of food for the price you pay. For anyone who like’s Jimmy’s/Cedar’s deli, you definitely have to try this place out.
Been here today at around 8:30 in the evening. The place is quite small and was empty. We tried the chicken shawarma wrap,beef&lamb shawarma wrap and chicken lamb beef platter. We had the large wrap and it was so filling couldn’t finish it alone. The meat was juicy,tender and flavorful. Loved the rice and hummus. Loved the food and it’s pocket friendly.
A friend suggested to come to the place and I gotta say it’s the best shawarma place in Calgary. Will definitely be back. Loved the rice and the hummus.
The chicken does have amazing flavor BUT in my few times here they have been lacking the basics. Last time I got a chicken shawarma they were chintzy on the veggies and the most recent time they didn’t have tabbouleh – how a middle eastern shawarma place doesn’t have tabbouleh is beyond me.
The best place for shawarmas in #yyc. I always get their medium chicken shawarma and its filling! Costs only about $7-$8. The staff is always generous with the meat and the veggie toppings. It’s clean. Though it’s at a busy plaza & there’s usually a line up around 5-7pm, the wait is worth it! also the shawarma platters are good.
So glad that they open a location by my place! I have tried the one in 17 ave, and the food here just taste the same! The only thing that i could complain about is the place is too busy, and sometime they just messed up my orders
