Not an average dinning experience. Priced just right ( I don’t think that any Edmonton restaurant can match the food qualitywith the price tag). Usually somethinggoes sacrificed. It’s not a heavy food on the menu (stereotype of European food vs Chinese, yuck), nice variety of dishes to choose from. Nice service and ambient atmosphere creates something like dinning experiencewith a family.I like this restaurant and definitely will come back.
I have been here a few times for private parties and anniversaries. The food is always excellent. Being of polish decent, and eating Mom’s and Grandmas home cooked meals. This is a close as you’ll get to the real deal. Very tasty and always look forward to going back. The steak tartar is a must try!!!
1st Time there.. We were there for the first time on Saturday. My sister-inlaw and I ordered the Polish Platter $10.75 ea, consisting of 1 cabbage role, 4 little perogies, a 4 inch piece of sausage, and a few small pickled vegetable piles. Although it was good it was not enough. 2 cabbage rolls and about 8 or 10 perogies would have been better. We had the borsht soup, it was disappointing, it was only broth. My husband had the rouladen, it was nothing outstanding, he told me your Mom made better. There was only 1 rouladen with two scoops of mashed potato and some pickled veggies. Again too small a serving. He’s not a big eater but 2 small rouladen wouldn’t have been too generous, almost $18. for this was too much. We won’t be back, sorry.
