I have been eating here since I was a kid, way before all the renovations had been done. The food is SO delicious, you’d still find me eating here even if it had never been renovated. Their broth is delicious. When I am not craving something with soup, I always end up ordering their grilled pork wrap and roll.
We had ordered grilled pork chops and rice as well as bun bo hue. I had the bun bo hue and I liked that the flavour and spice was there but it was more on the oily side and I really didn’t like the idea of thin vermicelli noodles rather than the thick noodles that I’m used to. The iced coffee I ordered was the best I’ve had and the service was quick and friendly.
We have been steady customer here for many years. We have tried a number of different restaurants through the year and have come back every time. The food is always hot, tasty and the service is great. James, frank and the rest of the staff are always there to make sure everything is in order. The food always arrives hot, and the portions are very satisfying. We have tried Good Buddy, Halong Bay and the Lingnan and non can compare. The only place to eat Vietnamese and Chinese food in town, and don not be put off by the crowds at the door when you arrive, they move quickly. But if you need to get in quick and eat within 30 minutes, then arrive before 6pm.
What really do I need to say other than beef sate pho? Just go here and eat it and be happy. I honestly haven’t tried anything else on the menu except for this dish which is quite tasty!
Had the satay beef soup and was pretty good, beef was a little on the tough side and there was way to many peanuts, my partner ordered Szechuan chicken and it was AMAZING AMAZING I couldn’t stop eating it. Literally cooked the absolute perfection Service was blah
I first came to Thanh Thanh to try their infamous Beef Satay Soup and I was not disappointed. This soup would make my list of Edmonton’s top 10 must try dishes – it is hearty and spicy with a thick broth that is full of flavour. Since then I have tried a few of their other dishes and have been pleasantly surprised by each one. The service is attentive and lightning quick and the room is clean, sophisticated and comfortable.
Best New Soup this year! Top Notch Service!This place is absolutely top notch. I walked in and was seated, served a large pot of tea, ice water and menu within seconds. When I asked for help deciding a soup the server explained the flavor profile and type of soups exquisitely. Soup was the best I have had this year. They are authentic and chique at the same time. I highly recommend!
