Awful slow service – waitress content with playing on her phone rather than attend to customers. When we got to eventually order – the food was pretty quick but wish it had taken longer as it was all messed up from what was ordered – then it seemed to be implied we got our order wrong. Tables either side of us not happy with their order too. Seriously tap house as Chestermere grows you will go lower down the choice ladder and you won’t be kept going by the regulars at the bar buying drinks. Role on Browns opening I think.
Great place. Its awesome hearing from people that this place sucks. It does not!! The tap house has made a lot of changes. New servers and new menu. Food is gonna be average because it is a pub. Also how everyone seems to think this place is a 4 or 5 star restaurant. If u have that mind set going into any place you are not gonna have a good time. Fun bartenders and good looking servers. I am really fond of this place and i will keep coming back until it closes.15 May, 2015Experience it for yourself.. I hear a lot people say bad things about the Taphouse. Staff has changed and also has a new food menu that rocks. I’ve been coming here for years now and I’ve seen this place go through some big changes. I also love hearing all these critics for people that have no experience in the food industry. It’s a pub not a 5 star restaurant. U get what u pay for.. Love this place.
Not bad. Beer is cold, drinks are good when I’ve tried them. Great Caesars. Food is not bad, depending on the day. Overly salty but that is the same with any restaurant. I have enjoyed my many visits and will continue to go there as it is the only place in town where the food/drinks are consistent. Breakfast/brunch is good as well, the eggs Benny was good.
The kids are coming. Have givent the Taphouse many chances and was glad to see things seem to be so much better this year. We now go once or twice EVERY week and hardly are disappointed (execpt for this past Friday when the rib special was served in a very odd way – can’t believe the servers didn’t drop any off the ‘pile up’ on the plate). A couple of weeks ago there were children in a booth behind us. They seemed to know the server so we thought it was a one time thing. However, we have since discovered that they are planning to allow children every day until 9 pm. We go here after work to relax….guess we will have to find another place in Chestermere that does not allow minors in a bar/lounge setting. Too bad – we were really enjoying ourselves at the Taphouse.
Tried this place too many times….. We kept hoping this place would get better. It’s a nice setting, decent decor…….but the service and food are dismal at best. Whether the place is busy or dead service is slooowww. There is no good place to eat in Chestermere where you can enjoy a pint and a decent plate of food. Please, please, please somebody open up a decent pub in this town…even mediocre will knock it out of the park. You have zero competition.
Worst. Service. Ever.. We have been to TapHouse four times, the first, we had a nice young man for a server and he was very good at his job, he’s what made us want to come back. The food was sub-par, really not impressive but we decided to give it another chance.Second visit, we were one of two tables occupied and there were a few young men at the bar. The waitress appeared to be dating one of them. She was dressed poorly, like perhaps would be going to the gym, or bed. She paid zero attention to our arriving, finally took orders and couldn’t tell us the specials. By the time she was able to get our meals to us, she didn’t take any more time, clearly we were inconveniencing her time with her boyfriend and his friends. We were ready to walk out and pay the next day because we sat for 20 minutes with empty plates and no bill. The third time, the waitress had no idea what items on the menu might be spicy, and again paid very little attention.The fourth time, which is while I am writing this, we still hadn’t been greeted and offered beverages. The one waitress walked past us 6 times, and then the other finally came out and took beverage orders. It must have been 10 minutes.We ordered the appetizer that was on special and it was a very basic ‘assembly’ type item, and we assume she forgot to key in our order, so she brought the side for the order and said it would be a while. It definitely was a while. Hopefully our entrees are served correctly. My hopes aren’t up at all. Won’t be eating here again.
Love it!. I come here at least once a week, and have only had one bad experience. The prices are reasonable for what you get, the food is always great, and the staff are friendly. The only time I’ve had terrible food was on dry rib night, which of course was very busy. My dry ribs were almost black and hard.
