Stayed here when i visited Calgary. Their buffet menu was pretty nice but expensive for 1 person. So there was another option which they gave which was a set breakfast menu with limited items. And for non-vegetarian option they had nothing other than beaf. Which is pretty limited. Like theres no option. I eat only chicken, so i had to choose the vegetarian option which was not really great. As a hotel, you should give as many options in vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Otherwise you are limiting yourself from a lot of things. How else will the customer like your service. Think about what top hotels of the world are doing. Why are they on top. Look at their breakfast menu.
Excellent Catering. I haven’t eaten at the hotel itself, but I did hire them out as caterers for our office Christmas Party at the Art Gallery of Calgary. Their service was spectacular–I don’t have a single qualm recommending them. From the moment I contacted them, they were both prompt and professional, and extremely helpful. The staff in attendance at the party were great at their jobs, and handled every issue and problem so well that none of the guests ever realized that there were problems. The food was really good as well, with plenty of selection, and a good value for the price.
Sunday Brunch Buffet. Sundays are the only days I have been to the Delta for a meal simply because I never think of it as a destination for dinner. I’m not sure why this is as the food is very well prepared and selection is good. What I enjoy about their buffet is the amount of selection available. Loads of salads, fresh meats and cheeses, 5 or 6 chafing dishes of warm foods (5 cheese pastas, potatoes, etc), a carving station, an omelet station, and a waffle iron station with various toppings. Then there are 7-8 desserts to chose from and fresh fruits. It is impossible to leave feeling hungry, the service is pleasant, and the $30 charge for this quality of food is reasonable. The restaurant it self could use an update, however, as it looks just as I remember it from the 1980’s.
